Day 99:
Liam's POV
"....It's time to let go" She looked at me for a second.
I knew Kayla, and I knew that when she was calm like this, it meant the exact opposite. She was raging inside, she was in pain. And when she talked on and on like that, I could tell she had simply nothing to say. She was caught on words, she was caught off guard, and she just spilled out phrases. But the funny thing about Kayla, wasn't how she displayed the opposite of what she was feeling, it was how after she rambled on and on, everything made sense to her. And now here she is, making sense of us by vomiting out words.
"I love you, Kayla" I said, for what I hoped wouldn't be the last time.
She looked up at my ceiling, and got up, heading towards my bedroom door. I turned my head away, not wanting to see the moment she walked out of my life. As I heard the door shut, the tears became more heavy.
I screwed up everything we had. All the late night rants about her crazy life, our crazy life, always ending with one of us falling asleep. All the awkward first dates, where we stood feets from eachother. All the times we watched the stupidests movies at the most unreasonable times it was playing, just so we could be alone in the movie theatre. Everything. Everything gone because of me.
Kayla wasn't just my girlfriend. She was way more than that. She was my best friend, she was the one I talked to about everything. She was a part of me.
I blew up the only chance I had with the one and only person I've ever loved that way, and now it's done.
Kayla Julians isn't mine anymore.
