Day 1:

Liam's POV

"Damn it, Loki!" I screamed at my dog, who just ran into one of the shelfs of the dog store. I tugged on his leach, pulling him back, as I walked over to the shelf he knocked down.

I picked up the wooden shelf, and somewhat put it back in place. I was happy this was a big store, that way no one would see the mess Loki got me into. I picked up each and every single one of the dog food containers, scrambling to put them back up on the shelf, as it collapsed to the floor once again.

I let out a heavy sigh.

"I shouldn't have brought Loki with me, I knew this mess would happen." I started mumbling to myself as I picked up the dog food for what I hoped would be the last time, "Besides, who says I have to let the dog choose it's own bed? I could have just choosen one and brought it home, it's not like he would take a liking to a certain one-"

I heard a voice behind me, but I couldn't catch a grip on what was being said.

"I'm sorry?" I turned around to pick up another container of food that was behind me.

"I'm just saying that dogs actually do have a preference" I caught a glampse of a long striped skirt that reached the floor, hiding some black shoes. My eyes trailed up the skirt almost automaticaly. I slowly got to see the grey long sleeved shirt, tucked into the skirt. I finally locked eyes with her, noticing the black make up, and the shoulder length black hair, that covered some of her face. She shook her head and smiled, noticing the giant mess of dog food containers around me "Here, I'll help you"

"Why would you do that?" I gave her a playful smirk.

"Don't even get me started, I mean you are trying to find a dog bed in the middle of the cat food aisle..." Cat food? I turned one of the food containers over, and certantly there it was: FineCatFinest Cat Food in the country! Damn, I can't even tell the difference between cat food and dog food, why do I even own a dog?

She bent down, quickly picking up the cat food, as if she did this every day. Her black hair covered her face, not seeming to bother her at all. She picked up a can, and put it back on the shelf, picked up another one, and put it on the shelf, and the cycle kept going. She made it look like such an important task, making every movement count. She did it with such ease and exquisitiness, it almost looked like I was watching her paint on a canvas.

"So you make the mess, I offer to help, and you just stand there?" She looks up, pushing some of the black hair out of her face. I snap out of the moment, giving her a small smile and bending down to help.

She lets out a small giggle, as she picks up the last container.

"Well this looks more organized than it's ever been, thanks to you messing it up in the first place," She stands up, whipping her hands on her skirt. "Alright! To the dog bed aisle it is!"

She walks with such airiness, almost like shes floating, light on her feet, hopping around the shop. I mindlessly followed, being pulled back by Loki's leach. I bumbed into a big cat cut out, almost knocking something over again.

----------

I walked behind her as she led the way to the cashier, holding tight to the dog bed. She walked around the counter and typed a few things onto the computer.

"Wait, you work here?" I asked her, she replied by giving me a slight nod. "I thought you...you...never mind."

"$37.99" She giggled.

I squinted my eyebrows together, giving her a confused expression.

"The bed," She said pointing to the giant thing I was carrying, "it's $37.99"

"Oh! Right." I started looking for the money in my pocket, dropping the bed. I handed her two 20 dollar bills. Again, as she was getting my change, I noticed how carefully she did it. She had a way of making everything look magical. It sort of scared me, but at the same time I enjoyed how delicate she was.

Too soon, before I could get a grip of my thoughts, she already had the change in hand, handing it out to me.

"Thanks-" I looked at the name tag I just happened to notice,"-Kayla"

"Come back anytime" She flashed her perly white teeth at me in a small smile.

To see your beautiful face again? Oh, I will.

"Uh-Bye" And that's what came out. Stupid mouth that doesn't coordinate with my brain.

I tugged Loki along as we headed to the car. I opened the back door for Loki, letting him in first. I pulled open the driver's door and sat down, turning the ignition.

As I was about to pull out, I heard a quick tap on the passengers seat window. I turned my head back to the shiny black hair, and the red lips perfectly in line with the thin jaw bones that I recognized as Kayla.

I unlocked the door and she opened it, "You forgot the bed..." She giggled at me.

No, that was on purpose so I would have a reason to come back here.

"Oh! Thanks." Again, brain and mouth, no connection.

She closed the door, but I rolled down the window.

"No problem-" She gave me a questioning look.

"Liam" I replied, "The name's Liam"

"Well, bye Liam."

She taped on the roof of the car, and turned away, heading back to the shop.
