Appearance: 1.68 metres tall, with long black hair tied into a ponytail, and black eyes. Slim, usually wearing a short sleeved T-shirt and a white long sleeved cardigan, with a knee length skirt.

Personality: Optimistic and energetic, Joel tries to smile in most situations. As a socially comfortable introvert, she is comfortable with large crowds and social activities, but mostly preferring the quiet of solitude or the company of a close friend. Joel is outspoken, diligent and straightforward to a fault, but is overall an average girl.

History: Her father is a professor who studied mythologies, especially Aztec, Mayan, and Incan myths. Due to this, he slowly got into the world of magic, and created spells and armaments based on these myths. Xiuh, Joel's main weapon, is something her father made.

Influenced by her dad, Joel began showing an interest in magic and myth, and her training as a mage began at the age of 12. Since then, she has honed her skills through hunting contracts and constant practice. This has adequately trained her in light blades, short blades, and molded her into a proficient rifle and shotgun markswoman, and an intelligent combatant, mostly familiar with battle.

Arsenal and abilities: Her main weapon is Xiuhcoatl, a snake familiar based off the myth of the same name. Xiuh amplifies her mana, helping her cast stormfire bolts, and can also transform into a FX05 assault rifle to shoot weak, rapid-fire bolts, or a shotgun to fire gouts of stormfire.

Apart from Xiuh, Joel carries an enchanted knife, which cuts deeper and never dulls. She wears her normal clothing into battle, since they are enchanted with a spell based off the Nemean Lionskin, and allows her clothing to block attacks comparable to an AK47 fired directly at her.

As a mage, most of her attacks are magic. She has four spells subconsciously imprinted into her mind : magic missile, which fires a bolt of energy that seeks out the target, can be detonated, and has the force of a Barrett 50cal sniper rifle behind it. Impulse strike, which allows her to protect her body while generating a burst of mana to empower physical attacks, telekinesis, which can move a 1kg object within a 15m radius, and Huitzilopochtli's Light, a spell which when cast, fires a beam of searing light, with a short delay to allow the caster to shut her eyes so as to not get blinded.

In her bag, she has an array of spellpapers, sheets of paper with prepared spells, allowing the caster to use it up to cast a single spell. In this bag, she at least carries the spells : fireball (5) Greek fire (8) and aerostrike (5)

Fighting Style: Though she prefers to charge in head on, she understands that her best attacks are ranged. So, her fighting style involves keeping out of the enemy range, while firing at weak points with her most powerful weapon, Xiuh, or magic missiles. More comfortable with close combat, she either uses Xiuh in shotgun form to incapitate or her long knife and impulse strikes to rip and pummel the enemy apart. If her attacks aren't effective, she does change tactics midbattle. Though her style is adaptable, it's a very offense focused style.
