My alarm clock buzzed and I groaned. I was so tired. I hauled myself out of bed with another groan, which passed quickly as I remembered I was eighteen today! I jumped into the shower, washed myself and my hair, then jumped out and dried myself. I straightened my hair, then got my curlers and curled it a bit at the bottom. I got changed into black skinny jeans, a pink tank top and a checkered shirt over the top. I put a red heart necklace on and a charm bracelet I got from Kieran last Christmas. I noticed the time and jumped, as it was quarter to eight. I grabbed my bag, filled with my school stuff and walked to school. It was a cold November morning, but I could stand any cold. Just as I turned into the gates, I took a step back. Four girls waited there. One had short, electric blue hair, a grin on her face and the palest blue eyes I'd ever seen and quite pale skin. Her out-there clothes hung off of her skeleton frame. She really should start eating again. Another girl had long black hair back combed into a bun, with too much black eyeliner on and really pale skin with gothic clothes. The girl next to her had long, puffy, bleached white hair, too much eyeliner like the other girl, pale skin and quite emo clothes. She also had scars on her wrists. She was sad, as always. The last girl, looked innocent. She had long brown hair and brown eyes. She was quiet and kind. Her skin wasn't pale like the rest of them, it was perfect. She didn't aprove of the gang thing.

The girl with electric blue hair, Anna, screamed my name and came running, her arms folding around me. My arms slipped around her skinny waist. She was like a skeleton.

"Hey Anna," I said, pulling out of the hug. She grinned and pulled a present out of her bag, handing it to me. I opened it and looked at it. I burst out laughing. It was a barbie doll. Anna grinned and began laughing too. The other guys came over and handed me thier presents. The gothic girl, Megan, got me black make-up, which I rolled my eyes at. The emo girl, Skye, got me some fingerless gloves and a hat with a skull on it. I liked them. And the quiet girl, Fern, gave me some beautiful jewellry. We all hugged, even Skye, and then went to class.
