San: A surname, given to those whom you respect.

Yokai: The name of the academy.

**You are a hybrid monster with a power you don't even know how to unlock - since you were orphaned at a young age, the only thing known about your parents are that they're monsters, not what type they are...**

Ever since you it was revealed to you that you were going to transfer to Yokai Academy in the spring, you've dreaded life. The rumours about the academy are truly frightening, and often claim that it's "The school for man-eaters" and that all of the monsters there will brutally murder any humans which enter and devour any other monsters without a second thought. You find most of the rumours hard to believe (the students at Yokai did defeat Alucard, after all, they have to be good), but you still doubt that they'll be the most kind beings in the world to you.

Beep, beep, beep!

Your alarm rudely awakens you from your sleep, and you crawl out of bed lethargically. The first day of school at Yokai has officially started, and you couldn't have dreaded it more.

You step groggily out of bed, wishing for just twenty more minutes of sleep so that you wouldn't have to go.

"Honey, it's time for breakfast!"

"I'm... I'm coming, mom!"

As you eat breakfast, your mom serenades you on how you'll "make lots of friends" and "it'll be great for you" or "maybe you'll get your first kiss." Ha. You have to laugh at the idea of that. You've never had a girlfriend before, let alone kissed a girl! You don't even know what you'd do in a situation like that... How would you approach it? You've never even had the ability to keep many friends, let alone the ability to keep a girl by your side...

You arrive at the bus stop, and the cold spring air bites at you. "Time to delve into hell", you think to yourself as you get onto the bus.

"Hehe, you're pretty screwed kid."

You whip around to the front of the bus, ready to set someone straight. The bus driver peers back at you with white, glowing eyes. You ask angrily "Um... excuse me?"

"You're (Y/N), right? You're pretty screwed; this school isn't a typical academy, kid. You're shy and ill mannered. You'll get eaten alive at Yokai."

"I don't know who you're talking to, but I know it isn't me."

"Hehe..."

The rest of the ride, you sit in silence. You can't help but notice the lack of other people in the bus with you, as you're the only passenger. As the bus enters a tunnel, you feel a slight eeriness creep up on you. It's like the tunnel is cutting you off from the real world, and, indeed, the rumours say it is.
