"What is she doing?"

Paris's POV

"Its good to be home" I shouted as I walked through the door and slouched onto the sofa. No one was in like usual. Which I liked because I could do whatever I wanted eat whatever I want put the music on as loud as I want and even dance around without anyone judging me.

I took out my phone and looked at my snapchat, I had a message it was from Kane. I wondered why it didn't pop up as a notification but I opened it anyway.
After having a weird conversation with Kane, I looked at my camera roll to realise I did screenshot it. I need to be more careful next time. If he finds out I've been stalking him he would never speak to me again! That was definitely a close save. I already know a lot about him and his family. I know it sounds weird but I'm just interested.

I was just about to make a sandwich when my mum burst through the door with lots of bags from shopping.
"Hey mum"
"Hey how was school?"
"Boring as usual" but the first thing that popped into my head was amazing because of Kane but I can't say that.
"Are you thinking of Kane again?" My ears instantly Perked up? What the hell, how does she know Kane?
"What?" I said in such surprise and shock.
"I said are you eating again?" Oh I must have misheard, that was weird. Probably because I'm constantly thinking about him.
"Oh yeah I just made myself a sandwich"
"Oh okay Hun"

What was that all about? I thought to myself maybe I just misheard.. But I have good hearing.. Oh well..

I sat down and texted Mona:
My mum came through the door and I thought she said something about Kane but I misheard I just can't get him out of my head.

As soon as I pressed send a notification from snapchat popped up with the name 'Kane' my heart instantly stopped when I knew he was typing to me it was weird how I was talking to Mona about him and as soon as I pressed send he started texting me. I screenshotted his notification and sent it to Mona saying:

ITS FATE I JUST PRESSED SEND TO YOU AND LOOK HIS NAME COME UP ITS FATE ITS FATE ITS DEFINITELY FATE I CANT BELIEVE IT FATE.

She still hasn't texted back ugh I need someone to talk to him about. I could text Lola but after what she told me about his and hers history I don't know if I should be talking about him so much to her I don't wanna make things worse between us and feel like I'm rubbing it in her face and whatever.

10 minutes later...

I walked to the fridge to get some food to stop my heart I can't believe the screenshot trick didn't work. He knew I screenshotted that photo of his house. Wow I am now gonna seem like a weirdo. My heart was still pounding. But at least I got a full conversation out of it.
I looked down at my phone.
Still no text from Mona that's weird she's normally always on her phone it's always by her side no matter what.
"Maybe I should go round there" I thought to myself.
Wait maybe I should ring first just in case she's gone out and then I would just be standing waiting for the door to open when no one is actually in and that's so embarrassing.

I dialled her number  on my mobile.
"Hey" I heard from the other end of the phone.
"Hello?"
"How you doing sorry you can't get through why don't you leave your name and your number and we'll get back to you."
Wow are you kidding me she really needs to change her ringtone. I thought she was there, I'll try her home phone.
As I dialled the number just as I was about to hit call I heard my mum shout.
"Who are you ringing on that phone?"
"Oh Mona's house phone"
"Oh okay"

I pressed dialled and it just rang and rang and rang. Maybe I should go over there. But what's the point if no ones there? Oh well maybe she will be there by the time I'm there.
I went to the shoes cupboard got my coat and new trainers out. They were white and they had that new trainer smell. Wait they will get ruined because of the rain, I swapped them over for an older pair.
"Mum I'm going to Mona's for a bit I won't be long I have my phone"
"Wait what about dinner it will be soon, and you can't just turn up there what if she's busy"
"Mum she's my best friend I'm fine and I won't be long I'll be quick actually can you just wait"
"Yeah okay but don't be too long I don't wanna burn the chicken"
"Bye"
I shut the door and locked it behind me.

It doesn't take too long to get to Mona's it isn't that far away. As I was walking I saw her standing in a door way a couple doors down from where she actually lives. It looked like her from the back her hair her height. I looked at who Was standing in front of her. It was Mr Yates..

What is she doing with him? And why is she talking to him in his doorway. Weird I'm just going to wait for her right here so when she turns around she will see me. Wait maybe I should shout her name. No because then she will be annoyed that I 'I interrupted her conversation with her dream' I'm just going to wait by her door. I walked across the road and along a bit to see an empty driveway no cars. No parents home by the looks of it. I sat on the doorstep and waited for her. Waited for her to come back so I could find out what she was doing there.
