The alarm clock woke her, her drooping eyes peering into the darkness. Crap. Fifteen minutes late. Sanjit had to get moving, she drug herself out of bed. If she got out of the bed, in the shower and out in ten minutes, she could maybe beat everyone to the bus stop. At the thought, of beating Rick, Bobby, Donna, and Lisa to safety Sanjit dashed out of bed and into the shower. She wet her hair and it poofed out in a curly style.
Sanjit rushed through brushing her teeth, oiling herself, and getting dressed. She looked in the mirror, staring at the pale brown skinned girl. The ribs that belong to her, trying desperately to jump out of her skin. Sanjit laughed mentally, even my own guts and bones don't want to be mine. Sanjit thought bitterly, grabbing her messenger bag darting out through everything like lightning strikes.
"Dammit" she muttered to herself, ' You didn't say it today, you moron.' Sanjit thought, scolding herself.
Sanjit scowled to herself.
You know what you are.
Sanjit nodded as she heard that strict voice,I couldn't ever forget.
She thought to herself and ran.
She didn't feel like eating today, just like any other day, she wasn't in the mood to eat. She grabbed a treat for universe, and ran down the road. The wind whipped around her and through her. Laughing as they breezed through her body, her neck sweater providing no protection. The supposed to be skinny jeans hung Loosely on Sanjit's waist, her beat up faded glory/ rip off converse hit against the pavement, echoing. Sounding like the only things existing.Sanjit found herself by the bridge, she began to think about how much she has failed everyone. Everything was becoming so bright. Too grey. She heard screams, her breathing sped up. So much noise, so much light, so much darkness. Too much of everything, not enough silence.
The screaming increased, she tried looking for the source, only to find It was in her head. The screams became unbearable. Sanjit clutched her head, crouching to the ground. Soon enough, she joined in with the screaming. Tears streaking down her face. The flashes came zooming into her head.
"Sanjit!"
"Annie!!"
"Hey!" A voice yelled, tiny, but it broke through Sanjit's mental breakdown. Everything stopped, the noises, brightness, darkness. It was all gone.
Sanjit looked down to see she was over the stone rails. She heard the rush of the water. So ready to jump, she wondered if she should just let go. After all, it might be better. Her mother would no longer have to deal with her. Sanjit's sighed and her shoulders hung in defeat.
