As Sanjit got down, the little girl tilted her head.
" Why were you up there, lady?" The little girl curiously pondered.
Sanjit just looked at her for a second, thinking about whether she should lie or tell the truth. Everyone already thinks I'm crazy, what's just one more person? Sanjit thoughts whispered.
"I was... About to die," ended up telling her out loud.
Sanjit stares at the little girl, trying to read her. It was almost like she could see through her..
There was nothing there... She couldn't see intentions of any kind, no pity, no animosity. Nothing. For Christ sake this girl was a kid, but there was something about her.
Something weird, she couldn't tell if she needed it, or needed to run."Why do you feel the need to die?" She asks, her eyes fogging over.
They oddly looked glazed, but her green eyes were somehow still blazing.
"Who are you, if I might ask?" Sanjit questioned, stuffing her hands in her patched up pants, siding the question.
"I'm Lacie!" She smiled a toothy smile, waving all the while. Funny, how kiss can go to mysterious to a little kid again.
"Hello, Lacie. Thank you, for bringing me down," Sanjit thanked.
Lacie shook her head and giggled, "I didn't bring you down."
Lacie looked Sanjit straight on her, her smiles gone, replaced with a chilling look. Lacie's eyes glazed over another layer.
"You brought yourself down, I just needed to say a few words," Lacie explained.
Lacie stared at Sanjit for a second, Sanjit began to feel squeamish under the Childs gaze. It's like it said too many things, all at once. Lacie took out a sucker and unwrapped it. Lacie looked at Sanjit one final lazy time.
"Don't let it go to waste." Lacie said, her voice hollow but heavy. Then she left, down the road into the foggy day.
Sanjit stared after the young girl for a while, until she felt a hand smack the side of her face hard.
Sanjit was suddenly yanked out of her thoughts, falling to the ground. She was back to the gray world again. The world were humanity was designed to destroy itself.
Sanjit's heard a buzz in her ear, on the side she was hit. Laughing filled the air, pushing its way through to be heard. She struggles to her feet, she was beginning to wonder if she should even bother.
What was the point of this everyday?
"Hey Rick, take a look at this," Donna coos.
"Her fist are balled up, like she's gonna fight," Donna pushed Sanjit as she mocked her.
Her teeth grinding together, she only budged slightly, She was tired of this. They were the reason she couldn't save the boy.
"You gonna fight me? I'll take you on right now," Bobby growled in her ear.
The sound wasn't anything near being human. It disgusted Sanjit. Bobby took a swing at Sanjit, she ducked and kicked him in his shin. Ricky and Donna held Sanjit down, as Bobby picked himself up.
"You just don't know when to quit do you?" Bobby spat out.
Bobby got in her face, His yellow locks tickling her nose. Sanjit spit in his face, which earned her a punch to her stomach.
