I'M A PLAYER

Chapter 5

"What the fuck!" Someone shouted, jumping back from Zoey my eyes widened as I came face to face with sofie.

About half the group were staring at us right now, half of me wished this morning with Zoey never happened.

"Its not what you think" I stated, immediately regretting it, Zoey raised an eyebrow and wore a look of shock. C'mon not her too.

"Oh really" sofie snapped her arms crossed, a small bit of her lounge blonde hair fell in front of her face. "What was is then? Did you accidentally slip!" She shouted, tears glinted in her eyes.

I was stuck between half of me wanting to apologize and fully commit to a relationship with her, but that's ridiculous we've only been fooling around for two weeks and what I said this morning was only a mimic of what her mom said.

All of my friends who I knew before were looking at me, I saw dani trying to contain herself as she bit back laughter, she had a hand in front of her face and was biting on her knuckle shaking her head at me. Great support.

I turned my attention to Alycia who was holding hands with Jacob and giving me a look of sympathy, beside her Kate rolled her eyes as Isabel spoke, "I win the bet" Isabel looked at me giving a thumbs up, wait what? They made a bet? On what?

It was stupid to lower myself and let someone have full control over me, and being with sofie is letting that happen.

"What's the problem?" I ask pretending to be bored, but my heart was slamming against my chest, usually I wouldn't care, two days ago I didn't care but now....

"Hmm I don't know maybe because just this morning you said you were my girlfriend and now your kissing someone you haven't seen in months!" Sofie shouted, clearly upset, she uncroseed her arms and ran a hand through her hair. Her blues eyes looked into mine for an answer.

I thought of my parents and that did the trick, remembering years of them teaching me to 'be a good business woman' when in fact they may as well handed be a guide to 'how to be a bitch'. I looked down and bit my lip, but when I looked up I wore an unreadable expression.

"Damn Jen what did you do!" Blake, an old friend, said as he looked between Zoey and Sofie, he quickly shut up when he saw my face.

"Well I'm not your girlfriend, it was just sex that's all, and if you must know last night I fucked Kate too, so don't think anything of it, to me it was just sex, and because I'm not your girlfriend I can kiss whoever I want" I said blankly. Turning away from Sofie,

"Jennifer! Sofie!" I spun around to see my English teacher Miss Craig, "Detention NOW!"

Before I could protest Blake was in front of me, "Actually their not going anywhere" he said confidently, for quite second my eyes widened but then sparkled with the familiar rush I'd missed when they left.

"Excuse me young man, this conversation is nothing to do with you" miss craig said raising her voice and giving her teacher look. Blake scoffed, "I can get you fired".

"Blake!" I hissed, "I beg your pardon!" Miss Craig yelled, Sofie looked confused as her eyes flickered between me and Blake, who just got out his phone and called a number,

"Phone away right now young man!" Miss Craig shouted, she pointed at me
"detention now!"

Well what did I have to lose?

"No" I said bluntly, Blake spoke to someone on the phone and within minutes hung up seeming chuffed, "Miss Cheale is contacting the head now, your detentions-" Blake said, pointing to me and Sofie, "non existent" he said wiggling his fingers in a magic man sort of way.
