The House

"Penny?" A small voice cooed from the kitchen when we entered.
I snuck into the hallway and grabbed some things from my room.
"Penny?" The small voice cooed again.
We walked out the hallway, and I entered the kitchen.
"Penny," she smiled gratefully, "you came back, what's the bag?"
"I'm leaving again. Until you leave, I won't be residing in this house."
I grabbed somethings from the kitchen and left the house.
"Pen?"
"What?"
"Is there even a little bone in your body that loves her, pities her?"
"I don't have room for that. All there is is hate. She left me when I was fucking three, thirteen years ago. I've lived this long without her. I'm not going to try to live with her."
Jen didn't say a word about my mother again, but she started to talk about Asher.
"Why aren't you speaking to Asher?"
"He "cheated" on me."
"What?"
"I was looking for him to give him his jacket back, and I saw his tongue down this other girl's throat?"
"Was she pretty?"
"Big boobs."
"Oh, makes sense. It's ok Pen, he's an absolute idiot."
We made it to her house. I looked out the car window and gasped, "What the fuck."
Asher Griffin Blackwood was standing next to the trees with a bouquet of red roses, pacing back and forth.
I walked out of the car and completely ignored him all the way to the house.
"Pen... Penelope please just just listen to me... Please I need you to hear me out."
"Hear you out? You were kissing another girl Asher! How am I supposed to believe you?"
Jen quickly slid into the house.
"Penny, please, I'm sorry. She came on to me, and I didn't know what to do and I'm sorry Penny."
"I don't believe you," I stormed off.
He quickly caught up and grabbed my wrist, "You're the only throat I want my tongue to be down."
In all my anger I giggled then stopped myself, "Stop. Asher, I didn't trust you. I thought you'd give me a reason to not trust you. I was hoping I was wrong. But I was right, and Asher if you're so embarrassed to think of me as your girlfriend, then we shouldn't be doing whatever this is," I pulled my wrist away from his grip and walked off.
"Penelope Celeste Dangerfield," he gasped as he pulled me in by the waist up against his side, "will you be my girlfriend?"
I rolled my eyes in disgust, "leave. Now."
He gave me the roses, hopped in his Mercedes, and left. I dropped the roses right before he pulled back. His eyes widened and he frowned. I walked back up to the house hoping he was gone. For good.
"My best friend rejected The Black Griffin!"
I smirked and for a second I was happy without Asher, but that only lasted for a second.

Asher sat in front of me in History the next day. I watched him turn around and give me the saddest smile I have ever seen. What a good actor.
