I woke up with a massive headache,  stiff shoulders and a tangled mass of what was supposed to be my black shoulder length hair. I looked around and saw sunlight cascading through the windows, some stuffs were still unpacked and all in all my small apartment was still a mess.
Slowly and steadily the incidents of last night filled my head drinking with my friend Alex, more like him drinking after complaining too much about how I am working him as a slave. Then him and I fighting over where to crash and me being forced to drink and him passing out due to excessive drinking somewhere in the middle of the night.
I saw Alex' passed out form on my bed and I quickly folded my futon and opened the windows to get some sunlight and fresh air. The inside of my house still reeked of alcohol and cigarettes.
I looked at the clock it was 9 o'clock in the morning. At this point I was glad that today was my off day.
I went to the bathroom, the floor was kind of cold to my bare feet.
Opened one cabinet behind the hinged mirror above the counter and took some aspirin to reduce the headache that felt like it will tear my head.
Made myself some strong tea and went to the living room thankfully my (good for nothing) friend unpacked some major stuffs. No sooner than I switched on the TV the door bell rang. Ignoring the news, I went to unlock the door.
There stood Jonathan with his broad grin and two cups of coffee with some food.

"I thought that you might need some help." he emphasised his words while shaking the coffee and food in front of my face.

I smiled at him and opened the door so that he can enter.
He followed me to my living room and sat down on the couch.

"Good morning." I said while walking towards the kitchen to get us both an utensil.
He replied the same and smile.
"So as you are new here, I thought I should welcome you with some food to make you feel like a family." he said while eagerly unwrapping food.
"Do you always buy people breakfast to make them feel like a family?" He chuckled, I smiled.
"No, this offer is only for beautiful girls with sea green eyes." He laughed.
I came back with a plate where he placed the donuts. They smelled too delicious.

"So as I said this offer is only for beautiful girls with sea green eyes." he looked at me and winked.

No sooner had I understood the hidden meaning I felt my cheeks warm. I smiled and in return he gave one genuine smile.
He turned towards me and touched my cheeks and toyed with my hair while muttering 'how beautiful my eyes are' but something felt wrong, I had this gut feeling where I wanted to push him away but that would have been rude.
Jonathan is a nice guy but it's like he seems too far away for any connection and right now I don't want any relationship.

Suddenly this weird atmosphere was broken when we heard a crash from the bedroom.
I abruptly stood up and walked towards my bedroom, there on the floor was Alex.
He was mumbling something to himself.
When he felt my presence he turned towards me, "di-did you saw that?" he asked frantically.

"Saw what?" I was confused, he rubbed his eyes and looked towards the window again.
"No maybe it was my imagination." he said but he didn't looked convinced.
"Jonathan is here with some food come out let's eat. I will warm up the tea for you." I said while walking towards the kitchen, " Take the aspirin for your headache" I replied.

Before I warmed up the tea, Alex was out of the bathroom already, looking quite fresh compared to the dull me. We ate and chatted a lot. Alex ate like a caveman earning a chuckle from me and a loud laughter from Jonathan.

After breakfast both of them went to their respective homes, I cleaned my bed room and opened up my remaining packed stuffs and arranged everything. After everything was arranged I was too tired to do anything so I opted to watch TV and order some food. I was changing channels when I saw some weird news, the reporter was talking about some grave robbery that happened in one of the local graveyards. But the weird thing that only some corpses were stollen and except those corpses nothing else was vandalised.
'Strange, why would they steal corpses only' I said to myself.

Not giving it any serious thoughts I changed channel and then after a few mins I heard my door bell signaling the ordered food.

I dunno when I fell asleep on the couch but one min I was watching TV and eating lunch and the next min I woke up to my cell phone continuously ringing.
I saw the caller ID and it was Alex.
"Hey." I mumbled.
"Where were you? I have been calling since 20mins." He screamed

I was still little groggy from sleep,
"Yeah yeah, I was sleeping. So?" I said
I heard one exasperated sigh
"Get ready fast, I am coming to pick you up soon." With that he hung up on me

For a min I was confused but knowing Alex and knowing that tomorrow is a Sunday, he is taking me to some pub.
After 20mins Alex arrived at my home, on a glance Alex was looking too good with his blond hair styled back with gel and his casual cloths consisting of a loose pant and a black shirt with a green jacket. His blue orbs twinkled with mischief.
No sooner we reached the designated place I knew I was right about the place Alex was taking me.

"Come on you will love this place." Alex whispered and went in followed by me,
I had this bad feeling that we weren't alone here, I mean yeah there were tons of people in the pub but someone or something was following us. More like maybe following me.

We went inside the pub and there I met some of Alex's friends, high school friends.
A girl with gorgeous black waist length hair and brown eyes, a guy with sea eyes and brown hair. Another girl with blond short hair and blue eyes. After talking for a few minutes I came to know their names. The guy Allen brought me a drink while the blond girl Susan exchanged numbers with me. The black hair girl named Railey was giving most of her attention to Alex.
We were mostly chatting and laughing when I saw him again, a few booths ahead he was sitting with that nonchalant expression. This black overcoat was smooth and once it felt like it was flowing like leaves, maybe it was due to low lighting inside the pub but something was so off about this guy.
His skin was too pale as if he was glowing somehow, again I dismissed that as the low lighting illusion.
For some time I ignored him but this gut wrenching feeling that I was having made me feel like he was looking at me again. I couldn't stop myself and looked at him but when I looked at him the second time he wasn't sitting where he was previously sitting. He was sitting some 2 booths ahead of us. The moment our eyes met, I felt him smirking but before I could do anything everything went black.
