"...first day of school.... First day of school!.....FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!" A high pitched voice started getting closer as banging footsteps aproached the dark room.
"C'mon, c'mon, wake up, wake up!!!! IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!" Lillie hollered at the coffin.
"Ughhhhh, I don't want to go to school... Five more minutes!....." Lillie's mother groaned just before she started to snore again.
"Not you, Mom! ME! C'mon, c'mon, wake up, wake up! FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! Lillie howled again as she drew back the heavy black-out curtains on the other side of the room.
Lillie's mother hissed with red eyes and sharp fangs covering her eyes from the blinding daylight.
'That'll get her up' Lillie thought, flashing a smirk at the, now empty, coffin. Lillie heard a groggy voice behind her.
"What did I say about waking me up like that?" Her mother sighed as she rubbed her tired eyes.
"What did I say about teleporting behind me?" Lillie said cheekily with emphasis on the "I".
"Lillie, I've told you thousands of times..." Her mother began as she stepped out of the room with Lillie trailing closely behind.
"It's not "teleporting."
"Then what is it?" Lillie asked impatiently.
"It's V.S..." Her mother answered wandering down the red staircase.
"English please, Mother!" Lillie moaned.
"...Vampire Speed." Her mother finished.
"Right..." Lillie said still a bit confused. "So...... What's for breakfast?" Lillie stared at her mother with wide eyes.
"You'll see." Her mother smirked.
"Can I guess?" Lillie asked. Her mother stayed silent.
"Is it beef?" Her mother still didn't answer with the smirk glued to her face.
"Lamb?..... oohhhhh no,no,no I got it! I got it..... BACON.
Her Mother still not speaking as she opened the fridge. Lillie sat down at the large oak wood table.
"It's bacon, isn't it?!" Lillie gasped.
Her mother took a white china plate that was covered with a red cloth out of the fridge and put it on the table in front of Lillie.
Lillie leaned forward to sniff the red cloth and her eyes lit up.
"BACON!" She screamed as she whipped away the piece of cloth and put her face straight into the plate of meat. Within a few seconds the entire plate was empty.
"I hope you saved me a piece, Lillie!" Her mother called as she was doing the dishes. Lillie looked guilty as she stared silently at her empty plate. Lillie spat out the piece of bacon she currently had in her mouth and onto the plate. Her mother turned and looked at the plate.
"Good." She said with a smile, not realising what Lillie had done. Lillie giggled.
"What are you laughing at now?" Her mother questioned.
"Oh, nothing." Lillie squeaked suspiciously. She carried on doing the dishes like nothing happened. Lillie was already dressed and ready to go to school. She reached for the door handle but suddenly it vanished.
"What the....?" Lillie stuttered, very confused. She turned around to see a tall dark figure a about an inch away, totally invading her personal space. Lillie jumped slightly but it was just her mom.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Her mother said with her foot tapping the floor and hands on her hips.
"Ummmmm no?" Lillie was confused. She tried to get out through the back door when her mother stopped her again.
"Ah ah ah! Sharp!" Her mother scolded.
"Ughhhh" Lillie groaned.
"Do you want the other Vampires to make fun of you?" Her mother asked rhetorically.
"Fine." Lillie moaned. She zipped upstairs using her V.S. and was back in half a second.
"Okay, I'm done!" Lillie tried to rush through the door again but was stopped by a stern hand on her shoulder.
"One more thing!" Her mother called. Lillie was handed a small purple stringed bag about half the size of her palm.
"What's this?" Lillie asked as she examined the item.
"I'll tell you at lunch time but whatever you do; DON'T open it!"
"Ok!" Lillie said with a smile. She was about to walk out the front door when she realised something and stopped suddenly.
"Wait.... what do you mean 'I'll tell you at lunch'? Lillie asked uneasily.
"Oh yes, of course! I forgot to tell you! I'm going to be your new English teacher!" Her mother announced joyfully.
"Ok! Buh-bye!!!" Lillie shouted to her mother as she wizzed out the door and slammed it loudly behind her.
"Well I wasn't expecting THAT reaction" Her mother said to the now empty household.{Thank you guys for reading this chapter! I hoped you enjoyed it since its my first ever story!
