"You roofied us?" Ian asked, once Manny started telling them the story
"I don't expect you to understand. I did this for the band" Manny had a smug look on his face. There was something he wasn't telling them all
"How is stranding us in Scotland, helping the band?" Curt leaned forward, titling his head. All of them were in the same room, sitting around on the couches
"Well in all honesty, I did it for Roland" Manny crossed his arms and stuck his nose in the air, looking away from everyone
Curt and Roland looked at each other, then Roland and Ian looked at each for a short moment. Roland pursed his lips slightly and squinted his eyes at Manny. "How exactly?"
Manny didn't look at anyone for a while. But he slowly turned his head and looked at Roland. "We all know you've been having trouble with the music lately. That's why we got the guitar. But I knew that wasn't going to cut it. With you being so distracted, I eliminated the problem and you were able to finally write something amazing" Manny held his hands out while he spoke directly to Roland
Curt and Ian hadn't heard about the new song. They glanced at each other and sat back to watch what would happen between Manny and Roland
"So let me get this straight. You drug our friends, whom we've known for years, because you think they distract me to the point where you felt you needed to get them away from me. Just so that I could focus on writing a new song?" Roland looked down as he spoke, thinking over what Manny just said. How was this even remotely okay?
"You're selfish, Elias. This is our family. And family comes before the band, the music, everything. And you have the audacity to say you did this for me?" Roland's eyes seemed to pierce right through Manny. Manny didn't say anything, he just sat there. He expected Roland to say more
"You can't be mad at him. He was just trying to help you out" Ian sighed, not wanting a huge fight between them
"Help him out by leaving us to fend for ourselves in a place we've never been before?" Curt jumped in on the argument, trying to get his feelings out there as well
"Okay okay wait. Let's just calm down here okay?" Paul spoke up, putting his hand on Roland's shoulder
There was an eerie silence for about 10 minutes. The longest 10 minutes either of them had ever been witness to. The band members looked at each other, swapping once in a while. Everything was calm within that calm before the storm. Curt started to slowly breathe in through his nose. Then, all Hell broke loose
