Mackenzie Heart has been the goody-two shoes, with perfect grades girl her whole life. She always takes orders from her demanding parents, peers, and teachers without talking back. Despite her docile nature, she has a strong hidden talent.

               Singing.

It's her escape from her pressure filled life.

Then there's Dylan Stone, the loner of her school. He never talks to anyone, unless it is absolutely necessary. Underneath his hard exterior is a boy who is just trying to support his family though his own singing. Sadly, street singing hasn't taken him anywhere.

For him, singing is not only his favorite pass time, but a way he makes money.

What will happen when you put these two vocalists together on a live television show, competing for a cash prize and a record deal that could help them both?

               Only time will tell...

The Perfect Duet is about how two very different people, a very unlikely pair, share their voices to the world. And on the way, they not only find out more about each other but also themselves.

Interview With The Author : kpgcatlover

This interview was with the author of The Perfect Duet who also has other books such as "Not Exactly Romeo and Juliet" , "The Bad Boy Taught Me How To Fight", and "Library Love." To the side is the song that she believes to show the best introduction to "The Perfect Duet".

What gave you the idea for this book?

Well, I was watching some X Factor video diaries and I was like, "Huh, wouldn't it be cool to have a story like this?" And BAM, that was how The Perfect Duet came to be

What got you on Wattpad? (who or what showed you the site?)

I found out about it from my local news. Apparently, some girl in my area was getting her book published from the site - and I was intrigued by it

What is you first story on here?

Crystal Hope was my first ever story - on and off of Wattpad.

How did it feel to show it (Crystal Hope) to the world?

I wasn't at all nervous about posting it. In fact, I was excited. :) But, sadly, it had zero reads for the longest time xD

What were some of the reviews you first obtained on that book?

The first review I ever got on it was from an account called gomumma, and they said 'love it'. Turns out, that the comment was from my mom. She wanted to be my first fan <3

So....are any of the situations so far in your books that are REAL?

Yes. Oh yes. I've been going back and rereading my books and realizing just how many of the awkward situations I put my characters in that I've been in myself xD

If you can be any of your characters who would it be and why?

I would want to be... Hmm... Well, I'm working on another book off of Wattpad in the private sanctuary of Microsoft Word, her name is Kacy Peters and she has the coolest life I think I've ever written in a story before. I can't release any details about it yet though :3
