Chapter 12~ Jerome The Bacca

(This may be a big chapter, just to warn you)

Travis' P.O.V (ha!you think I forgotten this?!)

Me and Sub stood back-to-back. The growling grew louder and I gripped my sword tighter. I looked around, sweat trickled down my face. Sub was shaking behind me, and the creature jumped out of the bush. Sub stopped shaking and stared at the creature. It circled us and I saw what it looked like. It growled and had sharp teeth, his eyes glowed red, and he wore a ripped up suit with a vivid red tie.

"What is that thing?!"I ask Sub. But I forgot he couldn't talk and the poor mute was shaking so badly I don't think he could reply.

The creature stopped and stared straight at me and growled. I gripped my sword tighter and looked back at him.

I did a battle cry and attacked the creature. It fought back, claws extended. Sub just stood there, eyes wide and frozen.

"Come at me!"I said.

The creature attacked again and we fought fiercely. I swung my sword and it cut the creature's arm, causing it to bleed. It got back and cut me by the eye.

"Jerome?!"I heard a voice. Sub blinked and turned around. In the clearing was a group of guys. They watched the scene in front of them and the one who called 'Jerome' gasped.

"Sub?!"

"Gah!"I attacked the creature again and cut it in the torso.

"No! Stop! You're hurting him!"

I jump out of the way of the swipe of a claw, and land near the group.

"That's what I intend to do!"I said.

"But he's my friend!"

I stop in my tracks and turn around.

"What?!"

The guy ran past me and to the creature.

"Jerome! Stop! Please! This is not like you!"He said, taking caution to not get attacked.

'Jerome' growled and backed up.

"Jerome! How could this have happened to you? You aren't a monster! Please. Come back to me!"

I stood there and put a hand to my cheek where Jerome clawed at me. The guy still tried to calm Jerome down. The others walked up to me.

"Are you okay?!"one asked, a guy wearing a blue hoodie.

"...yeah... I am... Who are you?"I ask.

"My name's Rob. This is Preston, Vikk, and Lachlan,"the one whom came to my aid said.

"Travis. Do you know Sub?"I ask.

"Yeah! He's a friend!"Lachlan said.

"He looked very scared. Sub? You okay?"Vikk looked at Sub who nodded his head yes.

"Well. Now I'd like to know what the heck happened to Jerome?"I asked.

"Oh... We honestly don't know. He just went crazy! We were walking through the forest when he told us he needed to rest and then just...went out of it...."Preston said.

"....well whatever it is I hope Jerome-"

"Biggums! Snap out of it!"

"Okay...uhm...who's that?"I ask.

"Oh that's Mitch. Him and Jerome are really close,"Lachlan replied.

"Yeah. Best friends since childhood,"Vikk said.
