Chapter Two: Seafood

"Hedone!" Mom yelled from downstairs, "Come here!" Dad was working on match making like he usually did.
"Coming, Mom!" I called running down our small staircase. Mom had her glasses on and was revising a list.
"I need you to go to the seafood market near Poseidon's temple. Here's a list." She said.
"Why do we need seafood?" I asked her.
"Your Dad wants to have it for dinner." She responded with a sigh. I left the houseblimp (A/N: HAHA IDK😆) and teleported to Poseidon's Fresh Fish And Crabs.

"Well, this is the place." I said walking inside. I got the stuff we needed and walked to the checkout. The girl working at it was a little taller than me. She had long curly dark brown hair and light brown skin. She looked to be about my age.
"So, is that all?" She said happily.
"Umm, yeah, it is." I said. Then I remembered what Apollo said. "Just go along with your normal life, and fate will bring you to them. Wait, could this be one of the heroes Apollo was talking about. No. She's just a store worker. But she's a goddess, I can tell. I'm gonna ask her who her parents are.
"So, who are your parents. I'm not trying to sound creepy or anything but I just want to know." I said nervously.
"Ok? Well, my Dad is Poseidon and-"
"WHAT?" I interrupted. "YOU'RE TELLING ME YOUR DAD IS POSEIDON AND YOU'RE WORKING AS A CASHIER AT HIS CRAPPY LITTLE FISH STORE!" I yelled at her. Almost everyone in the store was looking at me like I was crazy. I am.
"Uhh, yeah. I was just trying to get an early job before officially becoming goddess of something." She said a little shocked that I just screamed at her in a store.
"Oh, sorry about yelling at you. Heh, I guess I was just surprised that you were one of the three most powerful god's daughter." I apologized
"Its okay. Anyway, my names Despoine." Despoine said
"Hedone." I said and we shook hands.
"Hey Despoine." I said. "Follow me."
"What why?" She answered.
"I have something very important to ask you."
"Okay, I guess." She said following me into the bathroom. I locked the door.
"Listen, Despoine," I started, "have you noticed anything weird going on? Like anomalies?"
"Yeah, actually sometimes the fish in the market start talking and then flop away." She said with a laugh.
"Oh. Well anyway I know why that's happening. There are many different universes. In every universe there's dimensions. When somethings isn't right in any dimensions, it causes all the dimensions in its universe. Our dimension is True Earth. It's at the middle of all the universes and get affected by all of the dimensions in every universe. I need to find six heroes willing to dedicate their lives to keeping the dimensions in order. Will you join me and become the first hero of my team?." I explained.
"I...uh...I...of course!" She exclaimed hugging me. We walked out of the store.
"Just remember Despoine, you aren't allowed to tell your family." I said
"Ok, I won't. BUT IM SOOO EXCITED!" She said bouncing. Suddenly beside us two mortal guys started to fist fight.
"Woah! Stop it!" Despoine yelled at them.
"Heh, we don't worship you or any of your stupid Greek friends! We don't have to listen to you!" One of the guys yelled at her. They charged at Despoine. We were only young immortals, so we weren't that huge. About 7 feet. They should be able to win against her.
"Despoine, stop!" I yelled.
Then the weirdest thing happened.
"I SAID STOP!"
