"What?" I ask, probably sounding much less confused than I feel.

"Seriously, you've got to believe me, Tasha," Valor says.

"Give me one good reason why."

" 'Cause you've got to."

I snort and raise my eyebrow.

"Tash-" Valor's cut off by the faint sound of a pair of running footsteps that both of us can clearly hear despite it being quite faint. Like I said, my senses seem to have sharpened. I release my tense stance and begin to look around the room as if in a daze. I have no idea as to whether or not whoever comes is on the 'good' side or whatever but I'm not willing to take any risks right now.

It's only seconds later when Reid sprints into the room, panting like he's run from a long distance. Upon noticing the room, he gasps so audibly loud that it sounds pretty staged. When he sees me, his eyes widen and his eyes fixate on top of my head. I think he can see the scarlet-stained wall from here.

"Wha- How- What happened here?" he asks, stuttering and crashing his words together.

"Pigeon," Valor says.

Reid turns to look at Valor wide-eyed and looks back at me. I nod my head as if in affirmation. Reid walks over to the wall to get a closer look. Valor gestures with his eyes to his name tag. I quirk an eyebrow a teensy bit and he nods almost imperceptibly.

"So a pigeon caused all this mess?" Reid asks, unbelieving, as he looks at the puddle on the floor.

"Unfortunate pigeon." Val- 'Alex' says.

Reid glares at Alex as if to scare him away. Alex slowly backs off while Reid turns his attention back to the puddle. I begin to send him a message mentally but he shakes his head. Pointing his index finger towards Reid and then to his ear, he puts his finger on his lip and indicates me to fall.

Getting the message, I careen sideways and catch hold of a table by my side before I wind up on the floor. Reid's by my side in an instant and puts his hand under my head and carefully drops me to the ground so I can lie down.

"Sorry, I forgot you were here. Deep breaths, Tasha, deep breaths. Relax. The smell will be gone when the place is cleaned up, don't worry."

So he thinks the smell of blood is making me faint, huh?

Reid's eyebrows furrow as he asks, "Am I wrong?"

Right, I forgot. Don't think of anything, Tasha.

"Okay, so relax just a bit and then we'll get out of here." he tells me and gently puts my head back down on the floor. I half-close my eyes but to any onlooker, it would seem like my eyes are fully shut. Without thinking anything, I just observe what goes on through my half-open lids.

Reid heaves a sigh and turns back to face 'Alex'.

"What did you do?" he tells him in a low voice.

"Me? I didn't do anything!"

"We had a deal, you idiot!"

"She doesn't know anything!"

"She'll figure it out!"

"No she won't."

"Right, she probably won't. Doesn't even know what she's capable of," Reid laughs as he says this.

Turning back to look at me, Reid tells 'Alex' to get out so he can deal with the damage. 'Alex' hesitates but the glare Reid shoots him would be enough to make anyone run away so he leaves, albeit reluctantly.

Walking back towards me, he sits down next to me and begins to stroke my head.

"Tasha?"

"Mmhmm?" I mumble as if half-asleep.

"Nothing, go back to sleep. I'll get you home," he says, his voice soft like cotton and again my instincts are immediately on red alert. Because that sounds just like a predator using a sweet enticing voice to lure in its prey.

And my limbs feel like they're on fire as fireworks explode raucously in my head.

Hey yo! I seem to be apologizing a lot for late updates as of late. Well, the problem is that I can barely use my desktop anymore and my phone is hella hard to type anything over 500 words on, and then I fell sick (again, ugh, what is wrong with me?) and still am. Plus I prefer the feel of keys underneath my fingers as I type out my stories.

Anyways, here's the next chapter, and there's a surprise coming up #SOON so don't be too mad at me...

Keep reading and commenting theories.

Much love,

Crazy C!
