Jack? Jack!

His fingers shook as he dialed the numbers, "What's your emergency?" The voice on the other side was calm, while Jack's was pained and shaky. "I've been shot... 2381 Smith Street..." He groaned, holding his hand over the wound; which was bleeding out quite profoundly. The ambulance was there in a couple minutes, pulling Jack out onto the stretcher. "You're going to be just fine..." Was all Jack heard before blacking out.
Roxanne, who was contacted a couple hours later was at his side. "Jack? Jack!" Her eyes were round and concerned as he opened his eyes slowly. "Summers...?" He tried to move up and moaned, his hand moving towards his abdomen. "Ah, ah! Don't touch, be still. You got shot, remember?" He nodded slowly, the events of the previous night coming back to him. She looked at him, her gaze of concern wavering to shaky anger. "You bloody arse! Don't you ever to that again!" He smiled slightly at her, "I won't. I found something... On the case."
"Oh?" She arched an eyebrow.
"I've narrowed down someone... Carrie. She doesn't have a solid alibi. At first it worked with what little information we had but now... With the phone checks..."
"We checked her phone and she was still getting texts until about 8 PM. Also! Apparently, Jack had left with her. He left that out, didn't even mention it." Roxanne nodded slowly, writing the information down. "Hm... Nani isn't even in town so she couldn't have done it. We haven't talked to her parents yet. The forensics are almost done. One of their reports said that their was two people, but no report of sexual assault." Roxanne looked over at Jack, a sad smile lingering on her lips. "I should get going. Talk with the parents."
"See you." He nodded at her, picking up her files to look at. She stood in the doorway for a second, before disappearing down the hallway.
