Colleen found her sister in the living room, staring into space and fiddling with her pink bag. "Oh, diba sabi ng Bulaga call time mo alas-9? Wala pa ba ang driver? First day mo!" Maine continued to stare into space. "HUUUUY!" Colleen snapped her fingers in front of her sister's face. "Ano, ready ka na? Mainit sa barangay ha. May dala ka bang tubig? Asan na costume mo? Yung lipstick mo? Yung apron?" Maine smiled at her sister's obvious concern. "Relax. Nandito lahat sa bag ko." "Eto na ba suot mo? Ang casual ha. Anong bag gagamitin mo?" "Ito rin." "Sosyal! Longchamps pa." Colleen plopped beside her on the couch and leaned her head on her sister's shoulder. "Tumawag na ba yung airline?" she asked gently. "Di pa nga, eh," Maine replied sadly. Colleen rubbed her sister's shoulder affectionately. "Di bale. Mag-Bulaga ka muna ngayon. Two weeks lang naman, eh. I'm sure sa two weeks na yan, may airline na tatawag sa iyo for interview. Tapos bongga pa ang isasagot mo sa Why Do You Think We Should Hire You na tanong! Sabihin mo, you should hire me because I was the local dubsmash queen and a one-time star of a TV show for two weeks!" "Wala nga akong linya pero nasusuka pa rin ako sa kaba." "Di bale, local celebrity ka pa rin, kahit two weeks lang. Malay mo, magka-lovelife ka sa Eat Bulaga. Dami gwapo dun!" "Sus, nasa barangay lang ako kasama ang Jowapao." "Eh baka lovelife mo, nasa barangay!" "Sira ka talaga!" "Mas sira ka kaysa akin. Alam ba ng Bulaga yun? Hahaha! Ay basta," Colleen insisted. "Enjoy mo lang. Malay mo, magugustuhan ka ng Bulaga, i-extend ka." Maine shrugged. "Hay Meng, kung di lang kita kapatid...ewan ko sa iya. Sobrang pessimistic ka kasi, eh. Basta, enjoy mo nalang ng bonggang-bongga. Tapos..." "Tapos ano?" "Well," Colleen sighed sadly. "Kitakits ulit tayo sa gasulinahan."
They spent the next few moments in silence before they heard a car pull up their driveway. Maine reached out and hugged her sister.
"Sige, alis na ako. Nood ka mamaya, ha?"
"Record ko pa," Colleen promised, hugging Maine back. "Good luck, YayaDub."
"Hay nako, Coleng," Maine replied as she stood up. "Two weeks. What could happen in two weeks, diba?"
