The next morning

Garroth's POV

I woke up this morning and immediately I started to think about the kiss I gave Laurance. I wonder if he enjoyed it; the only thing I can hope is that he did. When I kissed him, I could tell he was surprised, he didn't kiss back right away. I mean, don't get me wrong, at least he eventually kissed back, you know?

After I got dressed, I opened my door and quietly went downstairs. Even though it was 8:14 am, we have a lot of late sleepers here in this household. To my surprise, Travis was already up watching Netflix. Usually he would sleep in till at least 9:00. Oh well.

"Good morning, Garroth." Travis nicely bellowed.

Good morning from Travis? Hm, rare. "Thanks, good morning to you too, Travis." I replied.

"Want an omelette? I figured I'd cook breakfast for everyone." Travis insisted.

The word 'everyone' made me think of Laurance, I mean, nearly every word does.
"Sure, that's very sweet of you Travis." I responded.

When Travis yelled upstairs that breakfast was done, immediately Dante and Laurance dashed downstairs. Since Dante was sprinting so fast, he tripped over the carpet and landed on his face. Soon after, Laurance fell on top of Dante, and I admit, I got a little jealous but was still laughing my head off. Travis had fell on the ground laughing so hard and accidentally burnt his own omelette.

"Awe, man!" Travis yelled. "*sigh* Guess I'll have to cook another."

"Haha! I'll do it for you, Travis!" Laurance gladly remarked.

"<in whisper tone> See, this is why I love him."
Woops. Did I really just say that? Out loud? Why? Oh gosh, oh gosh. What will they say?

"What was that Garroth?" Dante asked.

"Um...it.. i-it's.. nothing." I replied super nervously.

Laurance got real close to me and he whispered in my ear, "Please be more careful, I don't want our secret to spill."
I turned my head and whispered in his ear, "Sorry, it's just... I just... um, I love you."
"It's fine, I love you too."

Travis' POV

"What's with them whispering?" I asked Dante.

"I don't know, but there's definitely something suspicious about it." Dante replied.

"Let's follow them to see what they're up to." I suggested.

"Okay." Dante agreed.

Garroth's POV

"This video game is super addicting!" Laurance mumbled, eyes glued to the screen.

"Agreed." I added.

As soon as the video game was over, Laurance turned his head and kissed me. I immediately kissed back as his velvety lips pressed against mine. Although I was surprised at something so sudden, I enjoyed every millisecond of it. We ended the kiss gasping for air. I heard Laurance say to me, "I love you, Garroth."
I blushed super red and eventually said back, "I love you too, Laurance."

I heard a crash outside and got off the bed to investigate further. I opened the door only to see Dante smiling and Travis face first on the ground next to a shattered vase.
"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING OUT HERE? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE?" Laurance screamed when he realized what was going on.

"Um, long enough to hear everything?" Travis said turning around with a nervous smile.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE!?" I yelled.

"Um, we wanted to know if you guys were hiding anything, and you are?" Dante nervously said, backing up slowly.

"We weren't hiding anything, we just weren't ready." Laurance said, calming down.

"Oh, sorry." Travis apologized. "Well, you shouldn't tell anyone else."

"Yeah we're not, and neither are you." I mentioned.

"Dang it." I heard Dante mutter under his breath.

"Dante... you're not going to tell anyone, right?" I asked.

"And you can count on it." Dante replied.

"Good." Laurance said.

Laurance's POV

Man, this is going to be a challenge, keeping this secret. It's just so hard not to mention Garroth's cuteness. When we do end up telling everybody, I'm just scared they might make fun of both of us. I just can only hope that they don't when we decide to blurt.

After all four of us went downstairs, Dante decided to take us out to Uno's to make up for the incident. I guess that is better than just an apology, but still. I guess I'm just a little flustered that they heard us say everything. I just don't tell anyone that we love each other. If only I could trust them for real. Ugh, why is life so hard?
