Garroth's POV

I rolled onto my back and let out a huge sigh.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE ZANE WOULD DO THIS; OVER STUPID CUPCAKES!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Ugh, of course. His room is soundproof. I notice this when I look at the ceiling and see soundproof panels all over the room. It's no wonder why he did this; Zane always yelled at his online 'friends' and always wanted privacy.

There was also only one window, and it was too small in length even for my lean body to fit through. If only someone could see through it, but there was a black tint on the window that made it- wait! This made it a little easier to see through, perfect! Oh, Zane. So stupid.

But also, the door is reinforced so I can't break it down. He is smart, but not for everything.

Laurance's POV

I went back outside and Garroth wasn't there. Hm... strange. I went back to our house to see if Garroth went inside, but he did say he'd wait for me. Opening the door quietly to make sure I didn't disturb anything Dante and Travis were doing, I stepped inside the house; racing up the stairs to Garroth's room.

With a loud knock, nobody answered. I knocked again. No answer. Shortly after opening the door and finding out Garroth wasn't in there, I sprinted out the door to look near the house.

Maybe in the backyard? I thought to myself.

Nope. Nothing.

When I was walking back to the street I see Zane. Maybe he knows where Garroth is, after all, Zane is his 'brother'.

"One eye! Wait up!" I call, but not cheerfully.

"What do you want?" That answer is always expected from a guy like him. Ugh.

"Have you seen Garroth anywhere?" I asked.

"No, and why would I care to tell you?" Zane replied, almost in a tone that made him seem suspicious.

"Are you sure?" I ask again.

"Yup. So sure." That last statement hits me like a rock.

I sprint to Zane's house on a hunt for Garroth. I bump into Lucinda on my way there.

"Hey, Laurance! Everything okay? You're sprinting." She asks, concerned.

"Yup, yup. I'm fine. Any chance you've seen Garroth?" I surveyed her.

"Um, well the last I saw him he was with you. But other than that, no." That concerns me.

"Thanks anyways," I accounted.

I sprinted off once again on my mission to find Garroth.

Where could he be? I keep asking to myself.

Garroth's POV

It feels like I've been in here for at least an hour. Outside Zane's tinted window, I see someone sprinting up to the front door. I squint to see the details of this person.

Is that, Laurance!? I question.

The mysterious man glances up at the black tinted window. His eyes widen in surprise and he sprints even faster. Soccer really paid off, didn't it?

Laurance's POV

I think I just saw someone with two eyes up in Zane's bedroom. Could that be Garroth? I ask myself as I sprint past the window. I am now furiously knocking on Zane's door, even though I know Zane isn't home. I'm just hoping that mysterious person can open the door.

Once 1 hour passes of knocking and waiting, I make the decision to break down the door. Now, don't get me wrong, I know I can't break down doors like Garroth; but I can try, right?

I hear footsteps behind me, and I quickly spin around to see a black haired man. One eye.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here, little Laurance, was it?" Zane says as he starts laughing manically.

"What's so funny?" I question, annoyed.

"Oh, nothing." Zane replies.

"There's someone in your room." I tell him.

"(Oh shoot, I know I should've locked him in the basement)" I can't quite make out the words he spat.

"What's that?" I ask.

"Oh, sorry. You just caught me mumbling. It's nothing, really."

Zane's POV

In case he heard me, I knock him out with a kick, and then a slight punch. Lying on my doorstep, I carry out a quick laugh that immediately flows and becomes an evil laugh session.

I carried Laurance to the back yard and throw him on the hard grass. He wakes up immediately while I run in the house and lock the door behind me. 2 hours later and I'm sipping iced tea and hearing loud thuds on the door, almost one every minute.

Laurance's POV

I'm trying to break down the door, taking about a minute rest after each fail. While rubbing my shoulder, I run back at the door and the lock snaps, causing me to fall onto the soft carpet of Zane's living room.

Ignoring him, I race up the stairs and come to a locked bedroom; Zane's.

"GARROTH!" I scream.

"....." no answer

"GARROTH, ANSWER ME!" I yell, yet again.

"Well, the kitty's got some claws, I see."

I turn around only to see Zane and a fist coming straight for me. Not enough time to duck, I'm now lying on the floor of Zane's bedroom with a knocked out Garroth. I run over to Garroth and scream. Not a dramatic death scream, just a wimpy scream, and pass out on the bed next to Garroth.

Garroth's POV

I wake up the next morning, next to Laurance. I quickly shake him hungrily. He wakes up, startled.

"WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" He screams.

"Well, the window is a way, but we need to something to break it with. Its pretty strong." I suggest, trying to calm him down.

"Okay, well that should be easy in Zane's house." Laurance replies.

Laurance's POV

After about an hour of searching, I finally found a wrench. Small, but enough to break the window.

I hand it to Garroth, the muscular one, and he smashes a small hole in the window. He pries the rest apart, cutting his hands. Garroth pulls away in pain, and I start ripping the pieces away.

After what seemed like forever, all the window shards are gone, so we don't cut ourselves trying to escape. We throw Zane's mattress, along with a few pillows, out of the window for a soft landing.

I slip out first, falling onto the mattress. I quickly get out of the way while Garroth squeezes out, falling onto the mattress as well.

We walk home, hand in hand, back to our house.

Zane's POV

Might as well let them both starve to death. After all, I do have a guest room. Mwahahahahahahaha!
