Lexi's POV I

My tryouts went awful, it was going well until the part where i fell on my side. I was quite nervous at first but it wore off while doing my free styles. When i got off the court I hung my head in shame when Abby came running to me, i was so embarrassed that i just demanded to go change. I just finished changing and walked out of the changing room, just then i saw Abby talking to a guy a few steps away from the door. I walked over to say hi then i realised who he was. " oh my god! Carl!.is it for real are you really standing in front of me.!" I said excitingly."yeah i think i am" he said smirking.
"So what are you doing here at Red hill high school?" I asked a little bit more serious. "Well i just moved here from Nashville a few days ago because my mom got a new job here and my dad is seeking one." He said. We all talked a while about our childhood days and random stuffs. Meeting him once more makes me forget how hurt i was when i fell.

Abby's POV

So Carl and Lexi has just met for the first time since a couple years and they seem pretty happy. It also seems as if Lexi has forgotten all that happened today on the court. I hope she gets on the squad. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the lunch bell ringing, which means lunch period is over."hey what do you have now?" I asked Lexi breaking the conversation. "Oh i have English now,"she replied. "Ok i have math now, see u after school" I said then walked a way.

After school
Still Abby's POV

The bell has just rung and the hallways are as little less noisy than lunch time. I am making my way to my locker which is next to Lexi's. Just then i saw Lexi walking towards me a little sadder than she looked when she saw Carl. "Hey whats wrong?" I asked as if i didn't know whats wrong with her although i knew exactly. "Nothing I'm just a little worried about what the girls thought about my routine" she said. "Stop worrying they don't think your routine was bad. Just because you fell doesn't mean that's the end." I said trying to convince her. Just when she started gaining self confidence the intercom went on 'all students who did the tryout are asked to meet in the Gym immediately!' Then the message repeated."well I'm gonna get my answer," she said and walked away. I closed my locker and followed her.

Lexi's POV

I have just arrived at the gym when i noticed Abby followed me all the way from the lockers. I smiled at her and she smiled back. We walked into the gym together and she took a seat on one of the side benches. In about two minutes every one was there, so gabby called us to the centre of the room. No one seemed to know why they called us in there , but i thought of it and started thinking it was the team they were going to choose. " OK guys , we called you all here to reveal the names of the persons who made the team. Now when you here your name step out, Skyler, mia, Meghan, genna, Briar , Amy,Lisa and .......Lexi." I stepped out and joined the line that spread side by side. My heart started beating faster, my blood felt colder and i strangely felt good my feelings were of worried and happy. Gina placed her clipboard on the floor. She then walked up to the line we were in with her face as serious as a judge."all you people up here....." She said then paused ."you made the team!" She said giving out a smile. For a while there I though she was going to say we did badly but when she told us we made the team, i sigh in relief, all the person in the line including me started rejoicing. Abby ran over to me and joined the fun, i have never felt so happy since this school year.
