The Other Lexi

The new day pt 2

Abby's POV

I was walking with my lunch tray in my hand with my lunch on it, when i saw Lexi walking up to me. "Um hey let me help you with that" she said taking up my box drink. She opened it then looked at me. Biting her bottom lip and smiling she threw the red juice on my yellow t-shirt. The cheerleaders began laughing loudly and pointing at me, they drew the whole cafeteria's attention. Every one circled around us. When she had all the attention, she hit the lunch tray out of my hands. She then give a mean smile while the people around us started laughing. I felt so bad, i couldn't manage myself anymore and i didn't want to say anything to Lexi that would hurt her feelings, so i just ran out of the cafeteria with a single tear scrolling down my cheeks. I ran to the one place I'm sure no one would trouble me or mock me, and that's to the side of the school where there are a line of table and benches. Students hardly go there because they think the space is too small. Luckily when i got there, there was no one, i took a seat at a table in the middle so I'm not easily seen by anyone moving around. Once I sat down i broke down crying, i started sobbing uncontrollable loudly. I couldn't help myself, maybe what she did in the morning didn't hurt much but this time was extremely embarrassing because the whole cafeteria was watching. I cried my eyes out, so much it felt like there was no air around me for me to breathe. Finally I calmed down I was still hurt but i felt i could control myself. I got up and wipe the tears from my eyes, i pulled myself together as and walked out heading to the hallway. I walked through the boisterous hallway with my head held high, i show no sign of embarrassment on my face and tried to show no fear in my eyes.

While i was walking to my locker  the bell rang. Everyone started getting books and walking to class. I have five minutes to change and get my things, so i ran instead of walking to my locker, grab an extra shirt i kept in my locker and ran to the bathroom. When i finally reached I pulled my dirty shirt off and put on the clean one. Once i was finished i dashed through the door, into the hallway and to my locker. I picked out my science book placed the dirty shirt in the locker and tracked to class.

I bust the door open and sighed in relief when i saw Mr. Campbell wasn't there. "Abby wint why are you late for class!" I heard a voice say a I entered the classroom. "Uh oh!" I said slowly to myself. When turn around I sighed in relief, it was Carl standing at the sharpener machine. "OK never do that again or else I" he cut me off by saying " or else what??". " you know what never mind!" I said walking to my seat. I said everything out of anger but Carl didn't even mind.

The dismissal bell had just went. I am walking to my locker to put away my books just then I saw four of the school's bitchiest girls walking the hallways with their  cheer leading uniform swaying, not by breeze but by the swinging off their hips. They had the whole hallway attention, of course they are Gabby, Gina , Nessa and who else no other than...... Lexi!.
I was saying things in my mind dramatically when someone touched me on my shoulder. "Don't give them your attention give it to me I'm more worth it than those things!" I turned around to see Carl. I opened my mouth when i heard him say 'thing.' " you know i just cant understand why your sister is behaving so..... I don't even know what to say but she's not being herself lately. You know i saw what happened in the cafeteria today and i know that's not her", He said.

The drama was still going on with the cheer leaders. They are now only a few steps away from Carl and I, just when they reached Lexi and the gang stopped. She looked me right in the eye and slapped me in the face causing me to fall to the ground, once again every one started laughing. I was now the headline of the school gossip board. Everyone now take me for the reason to laugh. Lexi walked away laughing along with the gang. I just took up my books then stand grabbed my bag and ran home.
