Climbing onto Roman's new Jeep, I sat in the passenger's seat, with Kyle and Jace sulking in the back seat of the car.
The new car smell made itself painfully noticeable, the air freshener dangling from the mirror doing nothing to mask the stench.
Noticing my discomfort, Roman opened the windows to let some of the fresh air in the car.
" Better?" He asked, his grey opals fixated on me briefly before turning back to the road.
" Much better, thanks Rom." I turned my head to look at him and gave him a grin.
His lips quirked up as he reached over to ruffle my hair.
" Roman!" I shouted, slightly annoyed but unintentionally smiled at my brother. That hairstyle took hours to perfect!
" I love you too, baby sis." He said, throwing me a wink.

The white building stood proudly amongst the smattering of houses.Letters that spelled " Jefferson High" were mounted on top, teenagers spilled in and out of the double doors, entering a new year of hell.
Dread filled me as I stepped out of the car, my feet seemingly unable to move as my nerves were literally loaded with adrenaline.
Taking a deep breath in, I looked at my brothers. All 3 of them were standing with their backs straight and hands in their pockets, practically oozing with confidence and ease.
" Hey, you okay?" I turned around to stare at Kyle, his eyes were brimming with concern.
" yeah, just a little scared."
" It's fine. You look great! "
" Not really, Roman messed up my hair in the car." I said sulkily, my eyes trailing to my brother.
Letting out a chuckle, he stared down at me and gave me a comforting smile.
" You're my sister. Good genes run in the family. You're fine." He said as his arms encircled my waist, patting my head with his large hand.
" Stop hogging her." A gruff voice said from behind me as strong arms yanked me away from Kyle's warm embrace.
A comforting scent of pine and cinnamon immediately greeted me as I identified it as Jace. Grabbing my hand, we made our way into school, with Kyle and Roman trailing behind, basking in the attention the girls were showering them in.

Entering history class, I sat myself down on an empty seat, the class was fairly empty with a couple of students lingering around, scattered in different social groups, buzzing with gossip and news for the new year.
I was never the extremely social type, I always kept to myself, the pressure of making friends was too great and the incessant nagging of the need to be liked was gnawing painfully on my mind every time I socialize. So yeah, my only relationships include my brothers and my childhood best friend, Catherine.
Turning back to the whiteboard, I saw the teacher walking in. His bald head gleaming under the artificial light provided by rusting lamps latched onto the ceiling.
" Good morning class. Welcome to your first day of another year filled with endless possibilities and achievements! " he started, his voice resonated off of the cream walls of the classroom.
I inwardly sighed.
" there's no turning back now." I cast my gaze back down to my notebook and continued to finger my pencil. A heavily decorated ball dangled from my pencil's side, suspended by tiny chains linked together. Quite a hefty one but pretty nonetheless.
My thoughts were suddenly interrupted as I felt the seat next to me scrape against the floor. A screech echoing off of the silent classroom walls, all eyes focused on the disruption that came in the form of a cobalt blue-eyed boy in a leather jacket.

Poorly written I know but please forgive me.
