Sans left the kid, leaving the gaster blasters with one command, "Kill her if she tries to leave." He teleported back to the others, preparing what to say in his head.

Asgore rushed over to the skeleton, "You look a little tired! What happened?" Worry flooded his face as he watched Sans.

"Oh no, I'm fine. We just had a little fight, and I used up a lot of energy, probably more then needed. I just need to rest for a bit..." Sans slumped against the wall, instantly falling asleep, even with the gaster blasters still summoned.

Asgore carefully picked up the fatigued skeleton, his arms felt wet, "Wait a second... ARE YOU BLEEDING?!"

Sans lazily moved in his arms, "No... *yawn* just ketchup..."

Asgore just smiled at him, "Well, I guess you are fine... here you go," he walked over to Toriel's bed and set Sans down. The skeleton immediately resumed sleeping after being put down.

In the basement, Chara was sitting on the hard, stone floor. She scowled, "It doesn't matter! I didn't lose yet... Heeheehee... I WILL get him back." The demon stared at the floating blasters, thinking of all the ways she could get out. But... that comedian DID give them an order... that just makes it much more fun. She smiled, "It just takes a little bit of, INTELLECT. Teehee~"

Everyone was chatting now. The intensity of the situation was still rather high, but they had to do something to pass the time. At one point, Asgore brought out a board game for the monsters to play.

Sans grumbled, and sat up in Toriel's bed, "*YAWN*" He stretched his arms out and peered at the others. The bed was actually pretty comfy, despite no one sleeping in it for years.

"Heya... did the kid change yet...?" Sans yawned and looked at Asgore.

"No, not ye-" suddenly a high pitched scream erumpted from the basement.

"Speak of the devil, literally, y'know, cause Chara is kinda like a devil aaannd nevermind," Sans waved at the king, "Welp, see ya," He teleported down to the child.

The gaster blasters still surrounded the child as they screeched. "Their shirt hasn't flickered yet, which is kind of odd..." Sans said to himself. Asgore rushed down the ladder with Alphys close behind. The lizard stayed in a corner while Asgore rushed to the girl on the floor.

He reached out his fur coated hand to the child. Chara grabbed the hand, smirking, and yanked him towards her. Sans shouted at the king, but it was too late.

Asgore just stared at the child with disbelief, a red stain seeped through his clothes. He coughed up blood, the crimson liquid dripping from his mouth, "Y-you... b-but..." The king held his wound; and then he fell, hitting the stone floor with a thud. Alphys covered her mouth, renewed tears falling down her cheeks. She immediately ran to him and started healing him urgently with magic.

Asgore gave the scientist a sad smile, "I'm sorry... b-but... it's too late for me... it's a pretty deep wound..."

"N-no...n-no, I-I will s-save you, I-I will s-save you, I H-HAVE to..." the tears kept falling, Alphys wiped her face with one hand.

Asgore looked at her, "Just go... I... I'm sorry I couldn't have told you more stories... or had more tea with you..." Asgore raised his hand to wipe her cheek, "I leave you... in charge... goodbye..." The king turned to dust... and Alphys cried much harder then before. She sat there, the tears falling onto the floor, leaving a puddle.

Sans lowered his head. He then summoned rows and rows of bones, also alerting the blasters to attack. He raised his skull, his own tears becoming present. The skeleton shouted at the disturbing child, who was still grinning, " YoU!!! hE WaS YOUR FATHER!!!"

Chara jumped up to avoid the gaster blasters and sprinted to Sans. She got hit, though, and some of her health faded. Nevertheless, she slashed his chest. Another miss. Chara grinned even wider, some dark liquid falling from her mouth, "Oh, he was just TOO easy! Best opportunity, Teehee~ Frisk will NEVER come back~"
