The monsters settled down, Asgore left to get some food from his home, and Sans was comforting Alphys as she cryed over Undyne. The place, in short, was a fear-filled suspenseful moment of waiting. The child never ceased their pounding, which didn't help the fact that everyone was terrified.

You could just hear, muffled, "You can't keep me in here forever! You have to let me out sometime!" Chara was getting impatient, by the look of it.

Sans just ignored the upset child, and turned his gaze to Alphys, "Hey, hey... it's okay..." He tried to calm her tears, but now, he was crying aswell. The skeleton's tears fell from his cheekbones, making it seem that he wasn't only comforting Alphys, but himself aswell. Papyrus really did leave a scar that will never heal.

Alphys just stuttered in response, the only words she had said in a while, "I-I j-just m-miss... I miss h-her so m-much..."

They both just sat there, Sans with his silent tears and Alphys with her slightly louder ones. Time just passed without them even noticing. Asgore came back, set out his findings, and sat a while away. He just watched, and mourned his own loss, Toriel.

They all just waited, even Flowey stood still, thinking about Chara as he stared at the hatch. The other monsters also cried in their own little groups aswell. But, eventually, the sound stopped.

Not many noticed, but Sans did. He peered at the hatch, left eye glowing blue, he muttered, "Is it over... or is it a trick...?" The skeleton broke away from Alphys and carefully walked toward the blocked off door. He knocked on it, "Hey! Didja give up yet, kiddo?"

There was no answer, not even a scream, signaling another transformation. It was almost as if there wasn't a crazed murderer trapped in the hidden room under them.

Sans prepared himself, both mentally and physically, and teleported into the room. He smacked himself for not using his power to get out in the first place. The skeleton peered around, using his eye as a flashlight. He was looking for either the kid themselves, or a sign of an escape.

There, unfortunately, was nothing. All that lie in the room, were some boxes, and some piles of trash. He walked around, always alert, and checked behind piles of trash aswell as stacks of boxes. So far, nothing.

Sans walked behind the last set of boxes... still nothing. He frowned, this didn't make any sense.

"ACK!"

Chara slashed Sans from behind with a surprise attack. "Oh my, you didn't expect this did you, my little Comedian." She grinned, a dark liquid running fom both her eyes and her mouth.

Sans was hit. What looked like blood stained his back. His skull turned to the demon, permanent smile still eminent, "Oh, no, I'm *cough* so sorry... But did you expect THIS," The skeleton summoned loads of gaster blasters surrounding the kid at all angles.

"WHAT?! BUT HOW?! I HIT YOU!!!" Chara screeched at Sans, her grin turned upside down.

"Oh, this?" He touched the red stain, "It's ketchup." The skeleton looked at the defeated child, "Now, kiddo, you are gonna stay here for a bit, kay?"
