The tears that nobody noticed

As I walked into the massive building which many called school I felt as if my body were to collapse. My bag heavy of books and my baggage I had on the inside made me feel like just dropping everything and going home. Truely home. But I had tried many times and had decided to give up.

I could her my older stepsister walking behind me as if she were hiding something. Whenever I turned around she would put her hand behind her as if her life depended on it and when I would turn to face the front again I would hear her hand swipe past her bag and she would start playing with it again.

Strange I thought to myself as I kept thinking of a possible reason to what was going on. But before I could think of another possible reason to what was going on I felt myself fall over the fence and land in the school rose bush.

I had done this many times before but I had never done it in a dress. As I felt a cool breeze on my legs I realised what had just happened.

“Oh la la. The new girl wears purple polka dot undies. I am so writing that in my everything about girls at school book” said a boy I couldn’t see but I could hear everything he was saying. I then heard a bunch of other people laughing.

‘How embarrassing’ I said to myself as I tried to get myself up. I then heard a loud voice of someone who I think had just arrived. I then felt  a hand pull down my school dress so nobody could see my undies and then there hand grab mine.

“Um thank-you” I said as nervous as any newly embarrassed girl could ever be. “Hi I’m Destiny and you are” she said ever so kindly I actually felt as if I had meet her before. “Um hi I’m Faith and I just moved here” I said quite nervously. “I moved here after my family died in a fire at my house. I then got sent to a orphanage and…’ I was about to say more but my tears of sadness stopped me in my tracks.

“It’s okay. I was also adopted.” She said with a bright smile.

“I moved here from a country town called rivers and I loved it there but well now I’m here.” Destiny said in a sad but trying to be happy voice.

“That’s weird. I also moved from rivers.” I said trying to think of when and where I had met her.

But before I could the bell rang and I realised if I didn’t hurry I would be late.

“I’ve gotta” I said as I ran off.  “Okay I shall see you around” Destiny replied.

I run as quick as I could  to my class but as I did my body shifted around to give destiny a wave. But before I could she was gone.
