‘Tick tock tick tock’ went my watch as I waited for the bell to ring. Today had felt like forever and all I wanted to do was get home and sleep. As the hands on my watch ticked over slowly I started getting impatient.
Bing Bing Bing went the school bell as everybody including me rushed out to get to our lockers.
“Hey wait up,” I yelled out to Destiny and Haley who had gotten out of class before me. “I’m waiting,” yelled Haley in a giggly sort of way. “And so am I” yelled Destiny in her funny man like voice.
“Okay I am here and ready to go” I said laughing as we walked together like a pack of hyena’s. “Okay so how was your first day of day” asked Haley as she tied her hair into a ponytail. ‘I need to no every detail.”
“You sound like my mum” I said laughing so hard I almost fell over. “But if you want an answer it would probably have been the most boring day of my life” I answered back. ‘The only good part was meeting you two. Now that part is a part I shall treasure forever.”
“Oh shucks” Destiny said as we approached the lockers. As we got closer we noticed a tall blonde guy walking straight towards us.
“Hey girls look at that cutie” said Haley. “I wonder what he wants?’
‘I wonder what he wants, what’s that suppose to mean? I mean he seems like a nice guy and…’ my thoughts are stopped by a manly voice.
“Hi Faith” said the boy looking straight at me. “Hi” I replied in my most cutely shy voice. “I’m Jayden and I was wondering if well, you see, if you wanted to be my girlfriend.”
These words hit me like a bombshell. I didn’t know what to say. I felt butterflies fill up my stomach as I started to get wobbly. “Um… well sure why not!” I replied trying to stay as calm as possible. “Great I will see you tomorrow girlfriend” He said as he walked off with a smile.
‘Wow’ I thought to myself as I started daydreaming. “he is so handsome and gentle I just don’t believe he just asked me out” I said not realising I was now talking and not thinking.
“Well you should believe,” said Haley in excitement. “That is the most hottest guy in year 8 and he just asked you out” she screamed out so loud I think the whole world could here. “Hang on!” said Destiny in a not so happy mode. ‘That means he must’ve broken up with Kelsi his girlfriend.”
An awkward silence hit the group. Nobody dared to talk. Then Haley finally broke the silence. ‘I’m going to put my books away in my locker and get going” she said calmly. ‘Anyone want to come with?”
‘Sure why not” replied Destiny her normal voice. “Yes, of course, I mean, okay” I replied back a bit shaky.
“Okay lets go” said Haley as we all walked into the locker bay.
‘I wonder why he likes me’ I thought as I walked with my friends. ‘I’m just the weird new girl who feel in a bush six hours ago. He can’t possibly like me?’
