When I was young I use to love going to school. It was the most fun thing of my life. I had heaps of friends and I had my mum and dad there to pick me up. But now things are different and I mean completely different. I don’t know anyone but my stepsister who probably doesn’t want to hang out with me and Destiny who I probably will never see again.

As I walk into the classroom all eye’s are on me. I notice some of the guys who laughed at me at least 10 minutes ago but I don’t think they noticed me. I stood there waiting for at least a minute before the teacher asked me who and what I was doing.

“Hello dear um what would you like. You have been standing there for over a minute and well I am puzzled to what you are doing.” He said to me with a puzzled voice and stern face.

“Um I am knew here and I am in your class but well you see I don’t really know how urban schools works”  I said shaking and felling as if I were about to fall over. “Well why didn’t you say so” the teacher said grabbing my shaky hand and dragging me to the front of the class.

“Good morning students” said the teacher in a loud voice. “Good morning

Mr. Cuff” They all replied back in a zombie like choruses. “I have exciting news,” he said to the class as they looked at me. “We have a knew student with us and she comes from rural land.” He then looked at me and nodded, giving me the signal to talk.

“Ah hello my name is Faith and I am well new here” I started feeling as nervous as ever.

“Hey guy’s that’s the girl who fell into the bushes” I heard one of the boys in the back row say as the rest started laughing.

‘OMG how embarrassing’ I thought to myself as I tried to keep myself together’

“Shhh boys and please go on Faith,” said mr. cuff in a strong voice. “I was adapted by the denon’s from a orphanage I was put in after my family died and…” I could feel tears swell up in my eyes and I tried to complete the sentence.

“Okay that’s enough of an introduction for now” he said to me as I wiped the water off of my face. “Now why don’t you take a seat next to Haley and Destiny.

‘Destiny’ I thought to myself as I walked over to the empty seat. ‘How did Destiny get here before me?’

As I sat down I felt a tap on my shoulder. As I turned around I noticed a long brown haired girl with blue eyes and purple earrings.  She was wearing pink lipstick and wore a bracelet on her arm. She looked to be about 5 foot 7 and she was wearing an anklet on her ankle.

“Hi my name is Haley and on the other side of you is Destiny,” she said to me in the kindest voice. “Hi Haley I am Faith and hi Destiny. I didn’t’ know you were in this class” I said to both girls particularly Destiny.

“I didn’t know you were in this class either” she replied back with a smile. “Hey when did you two meet up without me” Haley butted in with a grin on her face.

“Well today Destiny helped me after…” I started to say before the mr. Cuff butted in.  “Okay class you have had enough chit chat but now it’s time to do some Maths.”

‘Oh great’ I thought to myself as I opened my new smelling book. ‘A great way to begin my worst day of school.
