Chapter 3

"So this is America?"Mikan asks, looking around in awe.

"Yeah,"a voice says behind us.

We turn around and I see Cameron.

"Cameron,"I say.

"Kita,"he smiles.

"You going to kiss it out or what?"Natsume asks, smirking.

"I have a girlfriend!  You know that Natsume,"I bark at him.

He rolls his eyes.

"Anyways,"I say. "Where's Hotaru?"

"I can't say, I lost track of her when I went in my place,"Cameron shrugs.

My jaw drops as I stare at him.

"Whoops..."he says, scratching his cheek.

"We have to find her!"Mikan yells and tries to run off, but Natsume grabs her and pulls her back.

"Do you even know what this town is called?"he asks her.

"No..."she trails off.

"My point has been proven then,"Natsume says.

"Well, let's go I'll take you to my place,"Cameron says, and starts walking.

We follow him carrying our belongings.

I stare at his place in amazement.

What? Did you think I was poor or something? Besides I'm not rich, I just live a regular life,"Cameron rambles.

I look at him,"I didn't think that, geez."

Cameron shrugs,"I come to many conclusions."

Natsume mumbles,"we can tell."

Mikan barks at him to be nice.

I chuckle at their feud and Haruhi elbows my side,"be nice."

"What? I'm only supporting them!"I exclaim.

Cameron laughs lightly,"you all seem like family."

"Really? It seems more like a couple's feud,"Ruka says, grinning when Natsume glares at him.

Cameron claps his hands twice and says,"alright calm down, and let's get to business."

He took us to his lounge room and we sat down and started to discuss our plan to find Hotaru.

It took many hours, but we solidified a plan and I would go into acting tomorrow.

I yawn and look at the time. It was still early.

"Geez, I can't handle this timezone stuff,"I whine.

The other agree except Cameron who was used to the time.

"Well you can stay here, considering you have no where to go,"Cameron says.

"Really?"Milan squeals, forgetting she was tired.

Cameron laughs,"yeah, I believe I have enough space."

I smile and pat his shoulder,"thanks, Cam-Cam."

He looks at me in horror,"not the nickname!"

My grin widens into a smirk,"yes the nickname."

"NOO!"he dramatically yells as he becomes depressed.

"Cam-Cam?"Natsume snorts.

The others laughs as Cameron gripes about the name.

Life is good... For now...
