A/N: Okay, so, I'm just going to include the previous conversation between Louise and Leo before the flashback regarding their promise. It's actually where the 'actual' story was left.

FLASHBACK:

“Don’t mind them.” Leo suddenly said.

“Y-yes, of course! Why would I?” I frantically replied. Sigh. I am pathetic.

“You remember it, don’t you?” He asked.

“W-what?”

“You keep on stuttering. Is something wrong?”

“No, I’m fine. Anyway, what was it that I was supposed to remember?” I asked curiously, my eyes narrowing.

“The promise.”

“The what?”

“…”

“Yes. I do”

A/N: And.. on with the story ~ :)

V. SMILE FOR ME

“Why? What was that all about? Why’d you asked me that all of a sudden?” I pretended to be..you know, dense. Haha.

     “Hn.” Was his only response.

Of course, he would never want to bring that up now, not when a lot of eavesdropper are practically scattered around.

When I lifted my eyes off him, I suppose I caught him smirk.

But then maybe it was just my imagination. So I let it go for now.

After minutes of silence (but not the awkward silence), I only seem to take in how much I missed him over the summer. We never get to spend much time together since we have our own family gatherings.

I also seem to notice the way his lush brown locks have grown longer, but not so much as to hinder his hazel eyes and how his pale skin seemed a bit tanned from the sun’s radiance.

He still looked really composed on the outside, with that poker face and deadpanned expression written all over him.

Sometimes, I envy his ability of not reacting over circumstances. It’s like he had all the time in the world. I wonder what he did to be able to smother those emotions so easily.

Maybe I could learn tips from him some time for there are instances when I need to control myself away from my emotions.

Then a horror thought came up—I am staring at him with who-knows-what-expression-on-my-face.

And it was too late when I decided to swiftly avert my eyes and try gazing at the.. trees. Yeah, trees would be nice to look at.

“What?” He asked, one brow raised and he almost looked like he was teasing me.

Yes, I should have looked at the trees instead. It must have been more interesting. What the hell.

“N-nothing!” I hurriedly replied, which I have failed to do because I freaking stammered.

There was no reply after that.

“O-oh yeah! Have you found out your section yet?” I believe this would be better to keep my eyes behaved.
