Discovering Him

C3: Lunch

               I had my own lunch in my bag but Ethan, Grayson, and Alex went to go get school lunch. Nate wasn't in the cafeteria yet so Gaby and I started eating our own lunches. I had a red honey crisp apple and a turkey sandwich. I had a blackberry izze as well for a drink. Gaby had a bagel with cream cheese, caramel and sliced apples, and an apple juice. 

               "So you and Alex?" I was chewing on a bite of my sandwich and stared at her.

               "Whaaa abou him?" My words came out muffled.

               "I know you think he's hot," she smirked and me and I smiled, swallowing the food. 

               "Who doesn't I mean do you see his smile!?"

               "His smile? Really Leileanna? Not his biceps or his abs? And I know you felt them when he put his arm over you." I blushed at her words.

               "Nah those are just a plus. He seems like a very genuine guy."

               "He is, I promise you."

               My curiosity got the best of me and I had to ask Gaby, "does he have any exes?" She nodded and I wasn't surprised.

               "Her name was Meg. They were really cute but they figured they would be better off as friends. She also moved to Pennsylvania, so that was another reason why they broke up. She was the only girl that Alex ever dated." I took in her words. He was like me. I only wanted to be in a meaningful relationship and not just some fling. That's why I've never dated anyone before.

               "Thanks Gaby. How're you and Grayson doing?" I saw a smile creep up on her face but then she frowned.

               "Is it that obvious that I like him?" I looked at her in shock

               "Well you could already tell that i got some attraction towards Alex. It's a good thing though because he totally digs you." She grinned at me and set down her bagel.

               "You really think so? I mean h-"

               "Well well, what do we have here?" Me and Gaby looked at the voice approaching us. "The mighty Leileanna and Gabsters." We smiled and waved at Nate. 

               "Hi Nate," Gaby and I said in unison. We looked at each other. 

               "JINX!" I gasped. "JINX AGAIN."

               "Well that's not creepy," Ethan said sitting down by Nate. We started laughing hysterically and couldn't stop. She rested her head on my shoulder and I rested my head on top of her head.

               "Woah Gray I think Leileanna might be stealing your girl," Ethan said laughing at the two whos cheeks were getting red. 

               "Don't worry I can't get in between those two," I looked at Gaby and laughed as she smacked my shoulder. I tried to scoot away before she could get me but i bumped into something. 

               "Woah there tiger," Alex laughed as I saw it was him I bumped into. Oh my god he sat by me. Me of anywhere he could sit he sat by me. 

               "Sorry Alex. Miss scissor hands over here is trying to kill me." Everyone laughed at us and Gaby had a look in her eye. 

               "Ooh I'm gonna get you for that." I jumped up and started running away from her. She followed closely behind laughing as well. I ran back to the table and scooted close to Alex.
