08 - What you were here for

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

"So what would you like to get kid? The burgs or fries?" Sans asked looking at you, you crossed your arms and set them on the table. You put your head on your crossed arms and sighed. "I think I'll take fries.." I said closing my eyes then re-opening them, my eyes landed on a man made out of fire wearing a fancy bartender outfit or something...

"Hey Grillby, this is (Y/n).. (Y/n), this is Grillby." Sans said to 'Grillby'. He nodded and waited for Sans to say the order. I was watching with half of my eyelids closed. "Oh, and get the kid here some fries.. I'll have the usual.." Sans said, Grillby nodded amd went through a door with a sign.. I was too lazy to walk there and read it.

"So, about earlier.." Sans said scratching his head, "It was a tad too forward amirite?" He said. "Oh goodie, you noticed!" I said with full sarcasm, adjusting my position on the stool, then resting my left elbow on the counter with my head placed on my hand. I stared at him, smiling.

" Heh. Anyways, do you have nightmares?" I asked, "Yup." Sans answered. "Does your powers sometimes get outta control?" I asked again, "Yes." Sans answered again.

" Heh... Same here... By the way, Frisk accidentally found out that I had powers back on the ruins due to a weird 'dream'. " I said, Sans' pupils disappeared, he tensed and his eyesockets looked dark. "Does she know how strong your power is?" Sans asked in a worried but dark-ish way. "Nope.. I dont think so.. I don't recall using any powerful magic ... " I said shrugging as if there was nothing wrong, his white pupils returned and he relaxes.

A door creaked open then closed after. Grillby was back and he brought what we ordered. He placed a plate of fries infront of me and placed ketchup infront of Sans..

' What is he gonna do with ketchup? Drink it? It reminds me of.. THE MILK PRANK.. I can't possibly forget that! ' I thought. I better tell him about Toriel first, not the name though..

"Hold on. Before you do anything to that ketchup, Iwanna talk about something first. Remember the purple gate back at the forest near we met?" I asked, "Well... Yeah.." Sans answered. "Great! Theres a goat woman living behind the door and she gave us some of her food and drinks.. I've been keeping them fresh in my inventory.. I wanted to give you the milk! I heard it makes bones stronger! Here!" I eggsitedly said while taking out the milk carton and handing it to him.

Sans stared at me, curious of what I was doing and hesitantly took the milk. He ripped the straw out of the plastic and poke a hole through the insert. "I got one of the healthiest kind!" I exclaimed, he just stared at me slurping the milk. "GOAT'S MILK." I evilly said with and evil but amoosed grin. His eyesockets widened and realised what I said and spat the milk out. Not all of the milk he swallowed..

I laughed and grabbed his ketchup bottle, pour it on my fries then gave it back. He opened his mouth and stuck his tongue out in disgust. It was blue. I wasn't surprised, I know what magic that was. He used his ekto magic to make body parts and stuff... Even d- lets not get to that...

"Close your mouth skeleboy.. You might grab attention.." I said eating my fries with ketchup, Sans lookeed at me then the other mosnters in Grillby's. Their faces morphing with their current emotion, shock. "The prank though.." I said amusingly. Sans returned to normal with his usual grin. The monsters forgot the really awkward event and just do what they do.

I laughed hard. Sans had a big blue blush on his face. It makes him look like a blueberry. He was staring at me playfully angry. This made feel a familiar feeli-

I fainted.

Rolling Dream sequence

"W-what's happening?" asked myself, " Remember what you were supposed to do (Y/n)." A voice called. "W-who's there?! Show yourself!" I called to the voice. I spun around and saw a grey version of me.

"I'm YOU." The figure said, I gasped and junped back in surprise.

"No time for questions now (Y/n). I don't have much time either.. I am also the thoughts and stuff in the deepest depths of your downloaded mind." The other me said, "I know, I know.. I am not doing the job very quickly, but I will fulfill what I'm supposed to do. Besides, I gotta enjoy this while it lasts." I replied.

"That is true." Other me said, "Then again, I know that already. I am just here for reminder. Now, you gotta wake up now. The skelebros are worried about you." Other me said. "Okay." I replied.

Dream sequence stopped

I woke up on a sofa in their house. Sans was on the other edge of the couch sleeping. I sighed and sat up. Sans opened his right eyesocket and looked at me. "What happened there kid?" Sans said, "Well, I got a small dream. " I said scratching my head, closing my left eye.

"Yeah... ok" Sans said, closing his eyes, I noticed a book on one of the tables. It was called, "Photo album". I had a an evil grin on my face. I used my magic to pick up a photo album and placed it on my lap. The purple magic disappeared. I opened the Photo album. It contained cutebaby pics of Sans and Pap. I hid the book from Sans and snickered.

We heard the door open then closed. Footsteps were heard. "WE ARE HOME DEAR BROTHER AND (Y/N) FROM SHOPPING FOR MORE SPAGHETTI!" Pap yelled and ran to the kitchen then to me. Frisk looked at the pictures I was staring at. I didn't turn the page yet. Papyrus looked over and took the photo album and sat on the middle of the couch. Frisk and I sat beside Pap. Sans was just at the edge of the couch feeling sleepy.

"SO YOU FOUND OUR ALBUM HUMAN? LET ME SHOW YOU SOME PICTURES.. LOOK AT SANS AS A BABY! ISN'T IT CUTE?! HE'S SUCKING ON A PASIPHIRE! " Pap exclaimed. Sans tensed up and tried taking the album, Pap moved it away just in time. "NO SANS.. OH LOOK AT THIS! ME AND SANS BEING BATHED! ISN'T THAT-- HEY! " Papy said and Sans took the album.

"That's enough picture looking for one day.. It's getting late.. We should be eating dinner!" Sans said using his powers to teleport the album somewhere. I pouted then smiled. "SANS IS RIGHT HUMANS! WE HAVE TO EAT DINNER! FIRSTLY, DO YOU HAVE A PLACE TO STAY?" Pap asked.

Frisk and I shook our heads no.

"WELL OKAY THEN! FRISK AND..." Papyrus trailed off, waiting for me to say my name. " (Y/n). My name is (Y/n)." I said smiling. "AND (Y/N). YOU WILL SHARE THE COUCH.. FOR NOW, LET'S EAT SPAGHETTI! FOR DINNER OF COURSE..." Pap said running to the kitchen making some spaghetti. "Frisk, why don't you help him make spaghetti.. Make sure he doesn't put anything inedible." I said to her.

Frisk saluted and nodded marching to the kitchen after Papyrus.

-Timeskip to Eating time-

Pap and Frisk finished the spaghetti and oh boy.. It smelled good.. "ARE YOU SURE I SHOULDN'T PUT GLITTER IN IT?" Papy asked, Frisk nodded and sighed, tired. "OKAY! DINNER IS SERVED!" Papyrus yelled and gave plated to everyone including Frisk amd himself. We ate spaghetti and it was actually pretty good... Edible..

"Wow Pap, this is the best spaghetti I have ever had.." Sans said finishing it all, "Yup, it's delicious!" I exclaimed finishing it. We all finished our plates and gave them to Papyrus.

He walked to the kitchen and put the plates in the sink then washed them.. Frisk and I fixed our sofa bed for the night and took out our shoes. We each took the both ends of our sofa and managed to fit in. We used the extra pillows and put them under our heads. We relaxed and watched Pap.

After a few minutes, Pap finished washing the dishes and walked up to his room "GOODNIGHT EVERYONE!" Pap said closing his door. "G'night!" Sans replied.

"Sweet dreams!" Frisk replied, "Sleep tight." I replied. We closed our eyes in unison and fell asleep.
