09 - His story

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

-Dreaming-

It was darkness again.. Why do I even dream...?

Then suddenly, there was a glow. It was a soft white glow. The aura was somewhat comforting. It looked like an outline of a monster soul... A vessel to contain it..

Then, a flash came. Now, it looked like a young broken monster soul with cracks. After a few good moments, It shifts into a being, blinding light reached your eyes. You covered your eyes just in the nick of time with your hands.

A white male furry goat stands where the soul was supposed to bee... Heh...

He was.... Crying, kneeling and facing the ground.. His tears were falling like waterfalls. I ran to him with worry and concern. I kneeled down to his level as soon as I reached him.

"Asriel, why are you crying?" I said looking at him, He raised his head and wiped his tears. "W-who are y-you? H-how do you know m-my name?" He asked between hiccups, "I'm (Y/n).. As for knowing your name, it doesn't matter now..." I answered. He sniffed then relaxed in my comforting gaze. I carefully sat beside him, side hugging him from the side. I pulled him close to me and made him lean on me

"So... Why were you cryin'?" I asked again, "I'm really bad.. I'm sorry... I... I am Flowey.. A-and, I've killed so many monsters... I'm... I... I don't d-deserve to be happy anymore.. A-as a flower, I had n-no soul a-and I couldn't feel anything.. I-I died with Chara and....and....." He said, tears sliding down on his face. "Mhm..." I replied, I decided not to tell him I already knew that. I wanted him to share the burden with me so I can save him.

It was an hawkward silence for awhile... I decided to break it, I had a question to ask anyway.

"So, how did you become a flower in the furst place..? Heheh..." I said smirking at the pun, "Heh.. Heh... That's.... Funny.. Okay, so... I became a flower because of the royal scientist, Dr. Alphys.. She took the golden yellow flower where my dust had been spread. Then injected some determination into the flower.. The flower then absorbed both my dust and the determination then came to life after several days," He looked at me making sure I was listening. I nodded for him to go on.

"When I first woke up, I was terrified. I called for mom and dad to help me. Then I noticed something, I turned into a flower. I remembered I turned to dust, I died. And... And... And then," I interrupted him.

"Woah, Woah... Slow down there kiddo, you don't have to say everything that happened." I said, smiling assuringly.

"But I want to!! I will continue no matter what you say! I want to get it outta me.." he said, looking at me with a serious face. I sighed in defeat and motioned him to go on.

" To make it shorter, My dad heard me, the King of all Monster kind. He walked to the throne room and saw me. He was surprised to see a talking flower. I told him that I was his son that turned into a flower. He cried tears of joy and took care of me. I knew he lobed me but I couldn't feel the same for him. So I asked him if he loved me. He obviously said yes. But I couldn't feel it," he looked at me, I nodded for response.

"So I went to my mom, who you know is called Toriel. I travelled underground to the ruins. My mom saw me near the patch of golden flowers. She was overjoyed to see me when she found out I was her son. I stayed for a few days and didnt feel anything," Flow-Asriel paused. I placed my hand on his shoulder, signallimg it was alright.

"I-I asked her the same question, do you love me, she said yes. But I couldn't feel it. Thats when I realised I couldn't feel. I wanted to die. So I travelled underground to the Hotlands. Popping out of the ground near a cliff. I attempted suicide. But I became determined to live again and resetted. Back where I was originally. I was confused. Dad came in the room and didnt remember me. He tried remembering me only to make up a name that I am called now. Flowey the Flower." He finished.
