Chapter 16

Ever since Sophia’s divine intervention, Zara and Rahul were much closer than they had been in the previous year. They were almost always together and the cute thing was they both liked each other. The thing was, they didn’t want to be more than friends for now. It was so sweet! Rahul had told Sophia that he planned to ask Zara out on the last day of school in matric. It was also ironic. I had thought that Chace and I would be together already, but we weren’t. Zara and Rahul were the ones that were more together in a way. The twists of life!

One day I received a text from Chace.

Is your friend okay?

He was speaking about Tisha.

Wat did she do nw?

I asked him. He replied a few minutes later.

She’s going crazy.

He proceeded to ask for my e-mail address so that he could forward me their conversation. I was curious. I switched on my laptop and downloaded the e-mail attachment. I opened their conversation and got ready to read it.

Tisha:

Why did you ask me for Jane’s number?

Chace:

And hello 2 u 2

Tisha:

Sorry! Hey.

Chace:

Lol. Because she stopped using her cellphone and I could not whatsapp her but she whatsapped me yesterday from a new number

Tisha:

oh, ok. so u guys are friends again?

Chace:

We are best friends

For a long time

Tisha:

Like more than Jane and Sophia?

Chace:

Yeah I think so

Tisha:

oh ok

Sorry I have to go, we will chat later

Chace:

Ok then ai

You stil busy

Tisha:

Yes… sorry I will write you later
