"Hi David," Will smiled up at his boyfriend, "I missed you."

"I missed you too, Will," David said, looking around the room.

David had been away for a long time. He had always contacted his boyfriend, but it just wasn't the same as seeing him face to face.

"Did you paint your room? White's such a nice colour," David smiled

"Yeah. I guess. Can we talk?" Will asked

"Sure, of course."

Will took a deep breath. He needed to address this or he would feel worse later.

"You almost died David." Will frowned as he remembered the incident on FaceTime.

Tears started forming in the boy's eyes. David felt guilty. He had tried to avoid the topic. It wasn't a great one but they had to talk.

"You don't have to worry about that anymore baby." David told him, sitting beside him on his bed.

"But I am! I'm worried! You can't leave me David! You can't!" The Asian didn't hold back his tears.

"I won't, I won't. I'm not dead see, I'm right here. Nothing to worry about." David stroked his back, waiting for the other to calm down.

"But you were so close! You just- you left me alone for such a long time! I don't want you to leave me!" The boy was full out sobbing by then.

Will didn't feel good. All he wanted to do was curl up in a ball next to his boyfriend. He wanted to cry until he felt good again.

"Will? Are you okay?" A woman walked in, concerned.

Will knew who she was. His mother had hired a housekeeper. She always checked up on him. He didn't know why.

"I'm fine, David's here so I'm fine." The boy sniffed.

"That's right. I'm right here baby. Always." David said, hugging to taller boy.

"Of course." The woman exited the room.

The woman's name was Jane Bale. Otherwise known as Doctor Bale. As she left Will's room she made eye contact with the other two people outside the door. Nurse Andrew Bailey and Nurse Madeline Daniels.

"Is he alright?" Nurse Daniels asked

"He's improving, that's for sure." The doctor sighed.

"Well you gotta give the kid some slack." Nurse Bailey shrugged. "Mr. Behlendorf lost his boyfriend while on the phone with him. It's so sad, you know?"

Just then another man came up to them. He had a Visitor's Pass. In fact, he was there to see his mom.

"Excuse me, I couldn't help overhearing. I knew someone with the last name Behlendorf once. Is this person's full name William Jay Behlendorf?" The boy asked

"Yes, we're you a friend of his?" Doctor Bale asked

"Yeah, close friend."

The boy wanted to know what had happened to his old friend. He could see him clutching a pillow through a one-way mirror.

"He and his boyfriend were on FaceTime because they were in separate states at the time. Unfortunately, there had been a shooting where his boyfriend had been. He was one of the victims. According to his brother, who had overheard the conversation, the boy's last words were, 'Hang up Will, hang up now! I'm sorry! I love you!', and then he was shot before he could reach the end button." Nurse Bailey explained

"He's been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He's been getting a little better but not by much. He thinks the hospital room is his room. Right now, he thinks David is with him." Nurse Daniels added. "Would you like to see him? He's stable right now."

"Yeah, I'd like that." The boy nodded but before he entered the room he turned around. "What was his boyfriend's name?"

"David Christopher Scarzone. Why?" Doctor Bale informed

"He's dead!" He was shocked. "I knew him too."

The boy felt really bad. He had lost contact with the entire group and now he was learning that one was dead and another was schizophrenic. He should've called. Anything. He didn't even remember their last exchange of conversation.

He had unconsciously entered the room. Will looked up.

"Dalton?" Will asked, the blond couldn't read his emotions because they were all over the place in his eyes.

"Hi Will, your- uh- mom let me up." Dal said, remembering something Nurse Daniels had said. Then he remembered something else

"Hi David."

A/N

Definitely the saddest thing I've ever written. Dang.

Sorry about the load of speaking parts and less narrative.

I could make a sequel where we find out what happened to the rest of the crew while the friends were split apart? Idk. Maybe wait a bit cause I don't know about this depressing stuff.

Until Next Time -CG
