The Doctor came running over from far away, and I filled him in on the current situation. He immediately responded by saying,
"Ok, you go and help those people, and I'll look after Kate." I nodded and then ran off towards the fire. I scanned the place for people, and was just able to see someone with their legs being crushed by fallen rubble. I ran over to them, covering my mouth and nose with my hand. I grabbed their arms and tried my hardest to haul him out.
No matter how hard I pulled, I couldn't seem to be able get them out! So I decided to go for a different strategy. I started to lift off some pieces of rubble to free him from the clutches of the fallen building, and eventually I was able to pull him out. I started to cough violently, so I knew I had to get out quickly. I dragged him across the room and outside to safety. As soon as I got back to the Doctor with the man, the whole roof of the building I was in, collapsed.
I looked at the Doctor in shock, and he responded by saying, "Was there anyone else in there?" Suddenly a thought shot through my mind, what if I hadn't gotten everybody? What if someone was still in there? I responded by saying,
"I... I hope not" He looked straight at me. It felt like his deep, dark eyes were staring into my soul. A shiver went up my spine. We both just looked at each other in wonder and anguish. The silence was broken by the awakening of Kate. "Kate! Are you ok?" I asked immediately. She opened her mouth as if she was about to say something, and then eventually just let out,
"Ow." The Doctor looked at her and said,
"Good! You can talk!" He walked over to where I had left the body of the man, and started to treat to his wounds. Kate and I decided to both sit there in silence, regaining our breath from our previous events. Eventually the Doctor turned back to us and told us that it was safe to leave him here, and that we could go on to our destination; where ever that was.
We walked off and out of the square, and down a long road. We came to some sort tower, that looked like a tower, but for some reason, something said it wasn't. I realized that we were now in the centre of the dome, and this must be the way to get to the outside. I noticed that none of us were talking anymore, it was almost as if the series of unfortunate events had made us so tired, that we didn't feel like doing much else other than walk slowly.
