"Sebastian." Alex mumbled from her place on top of Sebastian's chest. Sebastian was currently talking with Jacob about the upcoming marvel movie, Civil War.
"Yes?" He sang as he smiled at the sleeping beauty on his chest.
"I wanna go to bed." She replied sleepily. Jacob chuckled across from them.
"It's late, man. Get my sister to bed. Goodnight guys." Jacob smiled at them before kissing Alex's head gently and jogging upstairs.
Sebastian slipped out from under the sleeping Alex and then scooped her up into his arms. He carried her up the stairs and to her old bedroom.
The countless photos of her and her loved ones were covering the bedroom, making it feel warm and homey.
He set Alex down by the wall and pulled the blanket on top of her.
"Sebastian." She mumbled again. He sat down on the bed beside her.
"Yeah, al?" He responded distractedly as he toon off his shoes and put them next to the bed.
"I love you." She whispered. Sebastian paid no attention to it. She had said it countless times before, what was different now?
"Love you too." He replied back as a reaction. He pulled off his watch and set it down.
"No, I love you." She said emphasizing the word.
"I love you too." He mimicked.
Alexis sighed in defeat at the difficult man sitting next to her. He finally laid down and turned off the lamp, the Christmas lights left a small glow on their faces.
"Thank you for coming Sebastian." She told him softly. He turned on his side to face her.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world, doll. Your dad seems a lot better." He said cautiously.
"He is. He is nine months sober. That's the longest he has been sober since my mom left. He seems happy. I wish I had kept in contact." She admitted, a small glint of happiness in her eyes.
"You are here now. He seems ecstatic to have his kids home."
"I missed them both so much." She sighed.
"I missed you so much." Sebastian blurted out.
"It was only a week. But I missed you too. God, I can't believe how stupid I acted." She scolded herself for the millionth time.
"You are only human. You make mistakes." He said in a soft, comforting tone.
"But if you left Tyler Pooper use our emoji again, there will be trouble." He added with a chuckle.
"Shut up. I don't even know the guy. That was the first time I met him." She said embarrassed.
"Chris was so smug about breaking his nose. He said he was a douche." Sebastian smirked.
"I think he was a good kisser. I don't know. It was all a blur." She laughed. Sebastian frowned at her.
"Relax. I am kidding." She told him.
"Go to bed." Sebastian told her as he pulled her into his chest. Alex rested her head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat.
She closed her eyes and savored moment. The man she loved held her in his arms with her sober father downstairs and her happy brother in the room beside them.
Could life be any better?
