Alexis had already spoken to her father and now as she sat on her bed alone, she felt empty.

"Sebastian is making some dinner downstairs. You should come eat." Jacob said from the doorway.

"Not hungry." She replied softly, her face was red and puffy. She had barely stopped crying.

"Dad, I know you are drinking."

"He is gone for now, you don't need to be scared." She let out a humorless laugh.

"Are you kidding me?" Her father asked angrily. His face went from calm to enraged in seconds.

"That's my line." She noted.

"I am just trying to help, you are killing yourself!" She told him softly, his heartbeat was accelerating each second they were alone.

"You took care of me, now its time I took care of you." He explained with a small smile on his face.

"Get out!" He yelled at her. She stood up, gaining new bravery.

"You are living in my house!" She countered.

"I thought this time was different." She whispered as a single tear fell.

His eyes flared. Alex knew she should have stood down but she couldn't, she had bottled it up all those years ago and now she had finally exploded.

"You can't do this anymore, if you refuse to go to a rehab then you are just going to have to live on the streets." She threatened.

"We both did."

"You think you can threaten me? Who the hell do you think you are?" He growled as he walked towards her, she walked back.

"I will bury you little girl. I will tell your little boyfriend every dirty little secret that you hid from him." He said lowly.

"I booked a hotel room from holiday express. I can't stay here." She got up and grabbed her suitcase.

"Get out." She bit out.

"Excuse me?"

"Get out!" She screamed. He lost his temper, grabbing the closest thing he could and throwing it at her.

The item happened to be a lamp and it had missed the initial target but the broken glass flew and hit her. She let out a scream, from the fright and the pain.

"Alexis, you don't need to do that." Jacob said, grabbing her hand but She ripped it from his grasp.

He drew back his fist and slammed it into her face. She fell to the floor, he attempted to go at her again but Jacob slammed his fist into his fathers face.

"He hurt me. Not just mentally but physically. He put his hands on me, I am not staying here."

Sebastian rushed to Alex's side, panicking from all of the blood and broken glass. Jacob continued to beat his father beside them.

"Jacob! Jacob, stop! Please!" Alex cried from her place on the ground. Sebastian pulled Jacob off of him and tried to calm him down.

"We will change the locks tomorrow, one night. That is all I'm asking for." He told her.

Sebastian held Alexis as she explained to the police officer what happened. Her gaze fixed on her father, who was cuffed in the backseat of a cop car in front of the house.

"I just want to get out of here, Jacob! Look at my face, my arms, my legs! We are right back where we started!" Alexis yelled.

"I was here to protect you this time. You stood up to him this time. He is in jail this time. Things aren't the same. We have come a long way." He told her.

"He still isn't better! He still doesn't want help! He is still piggybacking his way through life on me!" She exclaimed.

"He won't be for long. Locks will be changed tomorrow. He will come to his senses." Jacob said softly. She let out a sob and Jacob pulled her in his arms.

"I'm so tired." She cried into his shoulder.

"I got you, Lex." He whispered.

"You got a good guy out there waiting for you." He told her. She let out a laugh.

"You are supposed to hate any guy I date." She teased.

"I'm serious, Alex. He really loves you. Don't let him slip away." He smiled down at her.

"Trust me, I couldn't lose him if I tried."
