Why do you write? Do you write to make a sense of the world? Do you feel like you have a story that must be expressed? Does it feel right to write? Do you feel happy after you write? Do you feel bad when you don't write?

I write to find out who I am.

You should always have realistic expectations, start from a basic draft and keep on writing to add details.

Write daily because it keeps you in shape and closer to your goal.

Commit to finishing.

Remember stubbornness, over-thinking and perfectionist thinking won't get you to places.

Once you have this foundation settled you can start to think of writing style. The way you detail your chapters and make your novel pretty it's up to you.

Your writing style should elevate the plot, characters, dialogue, tone and theme. These are parts of the same book so they can't be enemies.

What kind of writer are you?

In some ways, we writers are all alike. We doubt ourselves and judge everything we write.

Do you plan? Do you outline? Or do you just fly around?

How do you work? How do you come up with ideas? What makes you feel inspired?

To style your writing you need an open mind and walk all over fear. Think of your characters, the scenes and what makes sense for those elements.

Write all the tiny details. The way someone's voice sounds or the way pain feels like.

That is your writing style.

It's simple and complicated at the same time.

De-clutter your writing space, learn how to prioritize, use deadlines and don't wait to inspiration.

Get organized, write a list for the next day and follow it.
