We had just landed in New York after the most exhausting flight I have ever experienced. I didn't get the window seat, nor did I get the aisle seat. So I was a human cushion for two very tired people. And my shoulders has never been so tense. My personal TV was acting up, so I had to share with my mother who wouldn't stop watching Spanish soap operas. My mood has deflated.Odio mi vida (I hate my life).
The flight attendant finally announced that we had arrived in NYC. When the plane came to a stop I immediately dragging my mum and Jess with me. We got our things and stepped off the plane.
"I cannot wait to shop!" Jess beamed."This is going to be amazing. I'm going to get Jordan's, those black timbs I saw on insta, lots of dresses-"
"We get it J, you going to buy the whole store". I hope I find a cure for her shopping obsession. Soon.
"Not Before I find a cute summer fling" she flashed me a smile and winked.
"I'm sure it's not going to be that hard considering you look like Beyonce and Rihanna had a child together". There was no denying her good looks and features.
"What are you saying?! You look like a Goddess with those eyes."
"Well thanks. But if I was a boy I'd totally date you over me". We were at the area where we had collected our luggage's
"If I was a boy I'd date me too" she said then laughed. I looked at her, trying to be serious, but couldn't contain the laughter.
"Very modest" I said trying breath through my laughter" a interesting trait on you"
I grabbed my blue luggage from the baggage carousel. You could hear my mum talking to my father, telling him that we have arrived.
"Yes Mike, we are at the baggage area...Yes...where is that?....uh huh....yeah...OK....Bye love you". She hung up the phone and slid it into her pocket.
"OK girls we have to get to the car park " She grabbed her bags and started making her way towards the park. Me and Jess trailed behind.
"I wonder if there are any party's in NYC that we can go to?" I asked.
"Probably if there isn't we can always go to a club" Jess smirked.
"Where is the fun in that" I scoffed.
"Yeah you're right, a strip club would be more exciting!". She whisper yelled.
"You're joking, right?" My eyes widened and I frowned.
She looked blankly at me for. A while."of course I'm joking!! Your face though" she laughed loudly "you look like you just walked in on your parents doing the dirty".
"You have the mind of an excited 18 year old".
"I'm still innocent "
"I guess having 2 older brothers has its consequences".
"Oh come on! I'm not that bad" she exclaimed grinning "Not to their level. That's a whole lot of dirty".
"Kenzie? Jess? Boy have you both grown since I saw you last". I turned around to see him. He looked exactly the same, with the dark brown hair and the green eyes we both resembled. He was wearing dark jeans and a grey cardigan.
"Dad!" I rushed in to his arms "I missed you soo much.." he held me in front him at arm length.
"My baby is all grown up. It was only yesterday you we still 4" a small smile crept on my face.
"Oh Dad, stop" I laughed. "I'm sixteen now". He laughed to and turned his gaze to Jess.
"Ahhh sparkle" he said, throwing her in to a hug. Sparkle was Jess's nickname. It was given to her because she was never shy and was like a sun reflecting everyone around her. She never grew out of it.
"I missed you ol' man" that was his in return. They broke the hug.
"You guys are going to love New York " he said while giving my mum a kiss on the cheek.
We got into to my dad's car after putting all the bags at the back of the car.
"You girls are going to love the new place"My dad is an interior designer, so you would expect the house to look at least good. He went on about how It was his best work yet. I was already excited.
🍉 🍉 🍉
"Would you look at this place!" Jess exclaimed. She took the words right out of my mouth.
"Took a few years of planning and all my time". He seemed proud of his work. " Why don't you go check it out ".
He didn't need to tell us twice, Me and Jess instantly went to check out our bedrooms.
We entered a beige gold and white themed room. It was honestly Beautiful. It had a ladder to a little hangout area beside the closet.
" I call this bed" Jess slumped on the bed, spreading her arms wide. " Just when I thought it couldn't get any better".
I threw my things on the other bed. And went over to the window. I saw one of the best pools I have ever seen
"Jay I think your gonna want to see this". She gave me a look and came over to see what I was seeing. Her eyes widen, then she let out a squeal. Then she left me in the wind. I could hear her footsteps run down the stairs.
On my way there I peeped the rest of the rooms.
Such as my parents room, the guest rooms, my Dad's study and the bathroom.I went down stairs, the kitchen and the living room really looked like it was out a magazine. I walked out the doors in the kitchen that led to the back yard, where Jess is. The pool was right there, and real. Opposite it was a barbecue area, with the grill all brand new and a table with eight chairs around it. There was a path that led to some sort of gate. I walked through the gate to be greeted with a rose garden! It had a long bench that was attached to ropes held in by two big trees.
"Oh! My! God!" I heard beside me. I turned around to see Jess and my parents standing there. I ran up to my Dad and gave him a hug.
"Dad, this is honest the best thing I have ever seen".
"I wanted only the best for our family" he said grinning at his work.
"Its beautiful Mike".
" Sorry to break the mood, but I'm going to pass out if I stay any longer so, erm... goodnight" Jess said. My parents chuckled.
"Yeah, its getting a bit late, you girls head off " My mum said.
We went back inside the the house and got changed into our sleep wear. I brushed my teeth and lay under my covers scrolling through the Gram while Jess was washing her face.
when she was done she turned off the lights.
"Goodnight Jay"
"Night Kenzie"
