Part 6) The Part You've Been Waiting For

[Tyler's POV]

Tyler ended up falling asleep on the couch instead of going up to his room. Which later caused him to wake up at 2am with a horable pain in his neck and a bad attitude continuing till about 6 when he woke up again. It was only Tuesday and Tyler was not ready to go threw another day of school. Didn't want to face the dicks and the preppy people and the teachers and students..he also didn't want to face Josh. Tyler knew he had to try his hardest not to fall for that guy... although he did say he was gay...No. He can't, not again. He can risk getting hurt again.

Just to make things worse...it was raining today. And his mom already left for work, so it looked like he was walking. The walk wasnt too long, but it wasn't short enough to be greaful either. So without any more procrastination, Tyler put his hood up and wondered out into what started as a slight drizzle and soon became down poor. Tyler slipped in his ear buds and stared to walk faster. Looking down the whole time, he payed attention to his own feet. Walking almost in beat with his song. Left. Right. Left. Right. Lef- That was untill he saw another pare of feet. Ones walking right next to his, same rythem and time. With hesitation, Tyler finally looked up, greeted with a beautiful Josh smiling right at him. Tyler freaked out and went back to looking down. He could feel his own heart beat as he tried to thing what to do. Do I talk to him? Or do we just keep awkwardly walking in silence? What should I say? As if his prayers were answered, Mark came running up behind the both of them.

"Hey Tyler, Josh." They both responded with a 'hey', Tyler's being a little more quiet and uncomfortable than the one Josh gave.

"So I was thinking Tyler, maybe you'd like to sit with me and my other friends at lunch today? Ya know, so your not alone?"

"Umm...yea. Ok sure. Thanks."

And with thst they finally entered school. Out of the cold and wet outdoors. And they were rushing up the steps and to the doors, Josh held the door open for Tyler and Mark. Right before Tyler was about to thank Josh for the nice gesture, Mark beat him to it.

"Oh, thanks man!"

Of course Josh knew he was doing it specifically so he would hear Tyler's voice again, but since Mark already said thanks, Josh knew the action was appreciated and Tyler thanked him with his eyes and a smile. Josh returned the look.

(Lunch)

Tyler still had some bad social anxiety, so when it came to him sitting down at a table full of people he didn't know all staring at him, he started to freak out. His eyes started to water and you could see him physically shaking. The girl Tyler learned the name of yesterday, Debby, put her hand on his shoulder, causing him to slightly jump.

"Hey man, you okay?"

"Oh- um yea. Yes. I don't know I'm sorry."

"Wait why are you apologizing? There's nothing to be sorry for. Don't worry, we all like you. Don't be scared if us."

Tyler took the time to slowly look around the table, first landing on Josh. He gave Tyler a small reassuring smile and it instantly calmed him down a bit. Next, his eyes landed on a different guy. A guy who wasn't there last time and Tyler was slightly confused. Debby could tell so she informed him.

"Oh Tyler, this is Dallion. Yesterday him and Brendon met and there soul mates!"

"Oh, wow. That's really cool. Congratulations."

"Thank you", the taller by the name of Dallion said. Brendon just smiled and gave him a small kiss. The rest of lunch just went on with Tyler sitting quietly eating his food. Casually listing into the other conversation around him. Occasionally smiling when someone said something funny. Often, Tyler would look up, catching Josh's stare then quickly look down at his food. This make Tyler smile and blush.

Tyler's anxiety calmed down a lot and soon stated to join into conversation. Josh and another guy were talking about bands.

"Josh, there is no way Green Day is better than Blink 182."

Josh snapped and gave finger guns saying, "That's where your wrong Kiddo. Green Day will always be better."

"Oh my god I love Green Day!" This made everything go silent. That was the first time Tyler actually entered a conversation.

"Wow me too!" Josh responded. It was all just natural and okay untill, Tyler looked down. Seeing the bright shining gold color emerge from the black necklace. He didn't know what was going on. Well he did, but didn't want to admit it was actually happening. Tyler looked over at Josh and his had the same color and the same expression on his face. Everything was in slow motion but also too fast for his brain to comprehend. Soon the entire lunch room was filled with the beautiful gold that everyone knew ment a soul mate has been found.
