Chapter 7
Xavier's POV
“Alright sir, your order will be ready in just fifteen minutes. If you’d like, you could wait at the bar and we will call you?” The fake blonde working at the till attempted at being chipper, and I smirked at her and glanced down at her name tag.
“No, Tanya I’m fine just waiting at the side here,” I said and moved to the exact spot I knew the object of my desire would soon also be standing.
It was now Friday, a week and few days after my first quest of stalking the Angel, and so confident was I now that it was finally time to put my plan into effect.
The first phase; initial contact in which I reminded her that we once met and shared a connection.
And what better way was there than to ‘run’ into each other at her favourite restaurant that was also only around the corner from my apartment building?
Convenient, simple, yet oh so brilliantly effective.
I turned my eyes expectantly toward the large wall size window at the front of the restaurant, not even glancing at the Rolex on my wrist to check when she’d be here, when the ethereal creature finally made her appearance.
The door opened in the slightly busy restaurant, the bell at the top of it signalling her arrival to the rest of the shop, but I did not need such notifying. Not only were my eyes so greedily taking in her beauty, but that aura…that elixir of life that radiated from her very being…that I had been so craving since the moment I saw her nearly a month ago was seeping into my hollow core and I had to fist my hands tightly to my sides to keep my control and not rush to her, hoist her body over my shoulder like a bag of feathers and take her to my apartment where I would re-enact every sordid fantasy I had concocted ever since our initial meeting.
Today she was wearing a black form-fitting coat with large silver buttons adorning it on the sleeves and down the front, the inside of her V-neck collar stuffed with the silver scarf that was wrapped around her neck, and the only patch of skin you could see was the gap between her coat, the blue dress she had on underneath and her almost knee-high sexy high heeled black boots. The blue of her dress, and the blue woolly French hat sitting on top of her long curly hair was the only colour on her, and naturally it set off those topaz eyes of her.
So to say the way she was dressed today was only making my self-control slip that much further…well let’s just say it was a good thing I had killed yesterday otherwise there would have been no self-control to begin with.
She walked to the till, a large smile on her face as she greeted the chick on the till warmly, who was equally as warm to her and had no need for the effort of the fake cheer she had given me. But since Angel was a regular customer and was probably one of the only reasons this place was still open, I wasn’t surprised.
“Hey Angelina, the usual?” Tanya asked her with a knowing smile and Angel grinned.
“You got it, but make sure to add your special brownie ice-cream into the order, my little needs cheering up.” She replied with the same warm smile, and from her expression it was obvious it wasn’t a dire thing that had occurred for her nephew to be upset.
“Oh, what’s wrong with Alex?” The teen asked a look of concern on her face whilst ringing up her order.
“Nothing serious, it’s just that basketball camp he wanted to go to couldn’t accept him. Apparently we entered at the wrong time because all the spaces had been full up.” Angel explained as she got out her purse and opened it to get out the amount of money she needed to pay for her order.
