When I woke up, I thought I would wake up to birds singing, the sunlight coming in through the window and the smell of pancakes, but no. I wake up to loud banging on my door and a very annoying voice.
"Rosie! Wake up sleeping beauty! We have like three hours before the party starts!" With that being said, I looked at my clock and saw that it was twelve o'clock and the party started at three. How did I sleep in this late?! Grumbling an ugh, I got up and rushed to the bathroom. After doing my business, I went in the kitchen to see pancakes sitting on the small island, with hot steaming cup of coffee. Okay so at least I woke up to pancakes and coffee. I took a sip of the coffee, sighing happily. My happiness was short lived when I saw a not so happy Kendra.
There she was standing with one hand on her hip, half her hair straight while the other half was like a wild mane. It was a sight to see and of course I couldn't contain my laughter. I was laughing so hard that I had to put my hands on my knees to support myself.
"HAHAHA, laugh all you want but when I'm done, I'm leaving your sorry butt here" Proclaimed an irritated Kendra. After laughing for five more minutes, I got control of my breathing. I looked at Kendra with a smug smile.
"Even if you do leave me, which you won't, I have my own car" I said smugly before biting of on one of the pancakes.
"Oh yeah before you get all cocky, remember you don't know where it is" Kendra said knowing that she got me. Rolling my eyes, I muttered a whatever and headed towards my room to get ready not before taking a last sip of the coffee.
I opened my closet, to come face to face with red dress that I was wearing to the party. Okay maybe face to silk would be more appropriate. Taking the dress of the hanger, I place it on the bed and just stared at it. I fell right in love with it when me and Kendra were in the mall shopping for dresses when I saw it on a manikin. Thinking about the dress, it reminded about what Kendra said yesterday. Would I really meet someone? I mean it is a wedding party, there are bound to be someone who is single, right? I shake my head, getting rid of those thoughts. "Being single is fun Rosie, you don't need no man to make you happy. Plus you got Kendra with you" I said trying to convince myself.
Letting a sigh out, I took the dress and changed into it. Next I went to the small vanity that I had in my room and sat on the small chair. Not wanting to cake myself with too much makeup, I decided to go with a natural look. Since my eyes are light green, I put some eyeliner and mascara, making my eyes stick out. I put some pink blush to make my pale face a little less pale. To finish it of, I put on red lipstick. Taking a last look at my face, I got up and took out my black ankle strap heels. These were the best pair of heels that I ever had. After putting the shoes on, I looked at myself one last time and left the room.
I walk out to see Kendra already dressed and waiting patiently on the couch. Kendra decided to go with the long dress trend. Her dress was a long navy blue dress paired up with silver strapped heels. Only she could rock a look like that.
"Hey Kendra I'm ready, let's head out" I said as I grabbed my phone and purse. Not getting a reply, I looked at Kendra to see her staring at me with her mouth agape. "What?" I said cautiously.
"What do mean 'what'? You look hot girl!!! Kendra said as she jumped up and down. I just smiled and muttered a quick thanks. I didn't really see myself as 'hot'. I just look....normal.

After the one hour ride, we had finally reached. Not wanting to miss out on all the fun, we quickly exited the car and headed towards the already on going party. The first thing I see when we enter is Katy, the bride, dancing to 'Timber'. Me and Kendra just laughed at her rocking moves.
After the song was over, another sing came on and some people headed towards the dance floor. Me being the hungry hippo I'm always am, I headed towards the food heaven. Grabbing a plate, I poked my plate till the top.
I was about to savor the goodness, when Katy came running or more like hobbling towards me with a goofy grin.
"ROSIE!! Oh my gosh your here!!" My put my plate down quickly before I was crushed into a bear hug.
"Yup me and Kendra came in like five minutes ago. We got to see your killer moves there" I laughed as Katy gave me a sheepish smile.
Katy filled me in on what had happened before we came. Apparently John, her now husband, was so happy that he was crying in the church the whole time. After some more chatting, Katy went to go find Kendra.
I went back to my glorious plate with all its glorious food. I took one of the many macaroons and popped it into my mouth. I think I just died and came back again.
Finishing my plate, I decided to dance off all the sugar I just ate. The song 'We Don't Talk Anymore', my fav song, was playing. The floor was kinda crowded but I liked it that way. I put my hands up and swayed to the song. I heard some laughing near me and saw Katy and John sipping on some wine and talking animatedly.
They're so lucky they found each other. A table behind them, Kendra was talking to a guy who looked to be about the same age as her. Kendra always got along with the opposite gender. Me, not so much. I always got nervous and start blabbering.
My mind went back to Kendra's words, again. So far I haven't really found anyone, though Kendra did ask the ball will I find my lover in the next few days. Oh who are you kidding Roise. That ball obviously was not working properly, I thought trying to convince myself.
I felt a pair of hands on my shoulder. I turned to see Kendra smiling like that cat in Alice in Wonderland. "Hey Kendra, I see you made a new friend" I semi yell to be heard over the music.
"Yes I did! Oh my goodness Rosie, he is so perfect! His hair, his personality, his voice, his eyes, his everything!! I even got his number" Yelled a love struck Kendra. I just laughed at her as she did her stupid happy dance.
"Okay Kendra just don't let him break your heart, and if he does you know who to call" I said as I did a small wink.
Dancing, eating and singing hours later, me and Kendra were so tired we thought we might just drop dead. Saying bye and of course taking some of the leftover food, we hopped into the car and headed home.
As we were heading home, I couldn't help and feel sad. Sad because I didn't find my good o'l lover.
