Two weeks have gone by since the first day of school, and I've finally gotten back into "the swing of things" or whatever. I'm doing well in all my classes, which are basically all APs and honors, and I've been hanging out with my friends and having a good time.

Brett and I have been hanging out a few times lately, just to eat and such and he's taken me to a movie once so we've been good. However, we've been keeping it from everyone since it'll just cause so much unnecessary drama that we both don't want so I haven't even told my friends yet about him and I.

I washed my face off with cold water after basically puking my guts out into the toilet.

This had been going on for only a few days, then the feeling of nausea would vanish pretty much directly afterwards. I didn't know what was wrong, but I didn't think it was a huge deal, whatever it was.

"morning sweetie, are you alright? you look pale" My mom asked as I came down for breakfast. I guess I was still slightly nauseous.

"It's fine mom, just feeling a bit sick." I replied.

"are you sure? you've been looking pale for a few days now" she said, and all of a sudden I began feeling a little woozy.

I tried to hold onto something, but fell backwards, blacking out.

I awoke to being almost blinded by bright white light. I squinted my eyes as I looked around, seeing my mother waiting anxiously in a chair besides the white cot bed I was in. I was at the hospital?

"Mom?" I asked, and looked at her as she whipped her head to see me. She pulled her chair closer to the bed, and held my hand smiling.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" She asked.

"alright I guess, why am I here?" I asked.

"You fainted, and hit your head pretty hard on the stairs. You were unconcious and I wanted to make sure you didn't have a concussion" mom replied, as a doctor came in.

"Oh! I see that you are up. Well then this is perfect timing. Mrs. Smith, could I just talk to your daughter alone for a few minutes?" the doctor asked. She nodded, smiled at me quickly, before leaving.

"Hi Alyxandria, I just wanted to talk with you alone for a few minutes. Have you been sick these past couple of days?" He asked, writing on his clipboard. I nodded.

"Just in the mornings, and then I'm fine. Why?" I asked curiously.

"Well,... you're pregnant. Congratulations" He said, smiling while he said the congratulations.

My mouth dropped.

"are.. are you serious?" I asked in shock.

This couldn't be. I mean, Brett and I didn't use protection but...

"would you like me to tell your mother?" the doctor asked. I shook my head.

"No thank you. I will." I said, as a tear escaped my eye.

A few minutes later, my mom came in, and she was just as shocked as I was after I finally managed to say it. She gave me a tight hug, and smiled sadly.

"It's okay. We'll get through this together. do you know who the father is?" She asked, holding my hand. I nodded.

"Brett Kensington" I said, wiping away my tears, and she smiled widely...?

"oh! He's seems like such a lovely boy! Cute too! Good parents... okay. Well, you should probably tell him soon, and then your father and I are going to have to meet him if he wants to be apart of the baby's life" She said excitedly.

Of course, my mom would get excited about me getting pregnant with Brett Kensington.

After a few more hours, I left the hospital and went straight home with directions from the doctor of how to help the baby and stay healthy.

Luckily it was a Friday so I had the whole weekend to talk to Brett, who would probably like to know soon....

Brett's POV

I was beginning to like Aly more and more each day. The more I spent with her, the more I wanted to call her my girlfriend. Honestly, she was by far the most gorgeous girl in the school, and definitely still held all the class and respect too. I loved that she didn't really care if people thought she was nerdy for being so smart, and that she didn't really care what others thought of her, and didn't get caught up in the mindless high-school drama of everyone else.

I loved her, even if I never told her. She was one of those girls that you wouldn't be ashamed to show to your parents; to be honest, my parents would love her to bits - make me probably propose to her as Aly was the image of perfection for them: intelligent, beautiful, comes from a respectable pretty wealthy family, and is extremely kind and generous.

She hadn't come to school today, and I had grown nervous.

hey you weren't in school? are you okay? - Brett

yeah, don't worry. I'm fine but can you come over today? I need to talk to you - Aly

I got really nervous. She was supposedly fine but needed to talk to me? I didn't do anything bad did I?

I was in my last period class, so when the bell rang only moments later, I practically jumped out of my seat and ran to my bike.

I'll be there in 10 - Brett

I put on my helmet, and zoomed away to her house on my bike.

I arrived to her house, knocked on her door to find her mother there.

"Hello Mrs. Smith. I'm Brett Kensington, and I'm here to see Aly?" I said politely. Mrs. Smith smiled at me and led me inside. She had a knowing smile, which I didn't know whether it was good or bad.

"Nice to meet you! She's upstairs now in her room. First door on the left" Mrs. Smith said, and I nodded, smiling and headed upstairs.

I took a deep breath nervously before I knocked on her door.

"Come in!" Aly said, and I opened the door to find her on the bed sitting cross legged, looking at her laptop. She looked up to me, and snapped the laptop closed, and pushed it aside, patting her bed for me to sit on.

"What's the matter? What's wrong?" I asked, sitting on her bed, and taking her hands in mine.

"uhmm.... I don't know how to say this.." she said, nervously, looking at our intwined hands. My heart started beating incredibly fast. What was she going to say?

"...i'm pregnant"

And my whole world flipped upside down
