The next day:
"no. put that down right now. you are not lifting a finger," Brett said, as I tried to help unpack the house. We had invited our little gang to help unpack, and so far, all Brett would let me do is sit on the couch and eat. I sighed.
"I'm moving a lamp. Brett, I need to decorate these rooms to see what we need in terms of buying furniture" I said, pouting my lips and placing my hand on his hip.
He sighed, and knew he couldn't really argue with a pregnant woman.
"fine, but the object has to be maximum of 5 lbs." he said, and I rolled my eyes, reluctantly agreeing.
"love you" he said, giving me a quick peck on the lips before he went out of the room to bring more stuff into the house.
"love you too" I replied, and went back to moving the 'light' objects.
"you two are absolutely adorable" Carrie said, aw-ing at me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"thanks" I replied, and tried to finish decorating the place.
"hey, how's it going?" I asked, as I felt Brett's arms around my waist.
"finished, finally" he said.
"If you would have let me help, it would have gone by quicker" I said, and he sighed.
"not happening. you're not doing any work, not while you are pregnant with the babies" he said, affirmatively. I rolled my eyes again.
"okay, so what shall we do now?" Tara asked, as we all sat down on the couch.
"let's go shopping!" Nina offered, and we all nodded, having no other ideas.
After getting to the mall, Brett wrapped his arm around my waist, and we all walked around.
"You are beautiful, and always will be" Brett whispered into my ear, as he surprised me by wrapping his arms around my waist, while I stood infront of the mirror, looking at my growing stomach, while everyone else was shopping or trying on clothes.
"I'm just getting so... large. I'm going to look like a whale" I said.
"You're going to still be the most beautiful girl to me" he said, and I turned around and kissed his lips.
"come on, lovebirds!" Justin said, and we broke away, him laughing and me blushing.
"sorry, I simply just can't stop when I have this sexy lady next to me" Brett said, keeping his arms wrapped around my waist while we walked out of the store with the group.
"oh! let's go in here!" Tara said, as we passed a maternity store. I sighed, rolling my eyes.
"you're going to need new clothes anyways" Nina said, and I reluctantly went in with them.
"these clothes are so....matronly. Can we just go to like, Forever 21? They have stuff I can wear" I said, after searching through the store's racks. They all sighed, but we left.
That night, I put on a pair of sweatpants and one of Brett's shirts as I sat infront of the TV eating some ice cream. Brett was on the phone talking to a few of the executives at his company.
"sorry babe, it was important" he said, as he finished the phone call, and then came onto the couch with me.
"not a problem" I said, as he kissed my lips, and I snuggled into him.
"tomorrow's going to be crazy" I said. He nodded.
"we'll be fine. All of our family and close friends support us, and that's what really matters. If anyone doesn't, well then they can go fuck themselves" he said, and I smiled.
The next day at school, everyone was looking and whispering, but almost immediately, girls came up to me and offered their 'congratulations'. Everyone seemed to be happy.
"see, it's fine" Brett said, smiling at me as he leaned against the locker next to mine and I put my books away.
I nodded, and he walked with me to class.
Throughout the day, everywhere I went, someone asked about the baby, even the teachers!
"If you need any help completing the work or anything, I am always available. I'm so excited for you" my AP english teacher said, after class when she had asked for me. I smiled shyly.
"thank you, but I think I will be fine" I said.
After school, Brett drove us back to our house, and we did our homework.
"what did I do wrong here?" Brett asked, as I leaned over to his math homework.
"you forgot to divide it" I replied, and he smiled at me.
"I'm so happy I have such a smart girlfriend. Hopefully the baby will inherit your intelligence" he said, and we both laughed and smiled.
It was nice that everything was working out alright. Everyone was supportive of the pregnancy and the relationship, especially our parents, and we were doing just fine. To be honest, it was absolutely a miracle that everything was going fine.
Brett's POV
We just sat there, with my arms around her, and my chin on the top of her head, and I wondered how lucky I was to have this amazing beautiful girl as my girlfriend and mother to my child.
I had always been in love with her, but now that I finally had her and she was bearing my child, I love her even more. Everyday that I've been spending with her has been a gift. Each new thing I learn about her makes her even more attractive, for example how she likes to put her hair up in a messy bun with a headband for her hairstyle when she's around the house, and she likes to watch TLC often.
"when's our next doctor's appointment?" I asked her.
"two weeks." she replied, rubbing her belly. It had grown a bit, but she looked beautiful.
I began kissing her neck, and I could feel her her smile.
"I love you" I whispered into her ear, as I kissed it, and even playfully bit it.
She turned over, to look at me, staring into my eyes.
"I love you too" she said, and my lips met hers.
