Team Fortress 2 (Our Story) Emmy's POV

Nighttime Snack

   It was early in the morning and Emmy was very hungry. She crawled out of Pyro's arms and hopped to the ground. She looked around the room for a chair or a stool she could use to reach the door handle. There was a chair near the desk with the origami figures on it. She pulled the chair towards the door and jumped on it. Emmy unlocked the door and opened it. It was really dark in the hall but she still walked into the darkness. She shut the door and walked down the hall. Since she was part cat, she could see pretty well in the dark.

   She made her way down to the kitchen and hopped up on a counter to find any left over food. She crawled her way over to the sink where a plate with some dinner still on it was. Just before she grabbed for the food, her tail knocked over an empty bottle and it smashed on the ground. She panicked and started scrambling to get off the counter. She bumped the plate and it fell to the ground, and she jumped off the counter. Emmy ran across the kitchen and slid under the table. 

  Suddenly Emmy heard stomping coming from across the RED base. The light flipped on and she heard a click. "Who's there?!" She curled up under the table and held her legs close. The stomping came close to the kitchen. "Dagnabit..." Emmy whimpered under the table when she saw the Engineer bend down to look at the broken glass covering the floor. She slapped a hand over her mouth when he stopped and turned towards her direction. He picked up his pistol and walked slowly over to the table.

   He lifted up the tablecloth to see Emmy all curled up in a small ball under the table. She was scared that he might be mad at her but he just set his gun down and held out his hand. She looked at it and carefully grabbed his hand. Engie helped Emmy out from under the table. Once she was out, Engie asked what she was doing in the kitchen at 2:00 AM. "I was hungry and I didn't get anything to eat yesterday." 

   Engineer just smiled and walked to the kitchen. He grabbed a broom and swept up all the small glass shards. Emmy watched as he walked to the fridge and grabbed out a sandwich. He gave it to her and whispered "Shhh... Don't tell Heavy that ya got that!" Emmy giggled.
