5 Years old
We were at Mcdonalds. The air smelled like salt. It was the first time I was there, and I didn't know what to get.
After my sister and brother, Irvin and Grace, ordered my dad asked what I wanted.
"I don't know what to get?," I whined. "Well how about you get fries, since your siblings like it so much." My dad said.
"You know I don't want her eating that, those fries are so salty, and they have so much fat in them!" My mom nagged.
"Mommy I want Fries, AND I WANT THEM NOW!!!" I shouted desperately. I really wanted to taste French fries.
"Ugh!!" complained Irvin, "Woman! Shut. Her. Up."
"Don't say that to your mother" Dad warned Irvin.
He was ten at the time and acted like he was the boss of everyone, which he was not. Irvin even behaved like he was the boss of Mom and Dad, and naturally they put him in his place. But when it came to Grace my brother kept quiet. Irvin knew to not mess with her. He was mean to her once and ended up locked in the bathroom with duct tape over his mouth. There is more to the story but we can never speak of it. It was funny for me but not for him.
Grace is my older sister, and was 14 at the time. She hates when people tell her what to do and When my parents try to do just that, she gives them a nasty glare. Now when someone the same age or younger, tells her what to do she blows up. So DO NOT tell her what to do. Anyways back to the story.
"MOM! I am trying to order can you tell her to be quiet, please?!" Grace begged.
Mom and Dad both shared a look of despair and then sighed.
Then he turned to me and said, "Honey, I don't know what mom is saying is right."
"But I want it now!" I cried. Well, I start fake crying and of course, Dad fell for it. He shrugged then ordered me two large fries.
"This is really good," I exclaimed."I want more I want more!" I repeated. "Fine... but only if you stop whining," My dad said.
"I will; I promise" I assured.
That is when my obsession for Fries began.
