Over the next couple of weeks, Toni and Babyface spent hours on the phone talking about any and everything. They haven't seen each other since their lunch date because Babyface has been touring.
Today is Toni's last day in the spring semester. She has the entire summer off to relax and unwind. She was on her way to her favorite bookstore.
Abe's Bookstore...
Abraham: Hey Toni.
Toni: Hey Abe.
Abraham: Your books came in this morning!
Toni: Perfect. How are their conditions?
Abraham: Dorothy said that they're all in new condition.
Toni: I'll take them with me today. How much is the total?
Abraham: Let me check.
Abraham went to the back of the bookstore to talk to Dorothy, his wife. While waiting, Toni began to skim through the fictional romance novels.
Dorothy: Toni?
Toni: I'm coming.
Dorothy: It seems that someone came by just a few minutes ago and picked up your books for you.
Toni: Really? Do you know who it was?
Dorothy: A young man by the name of Braxton.
Toni: Mikey? That's weird, he doesn't even know about this bookstore.
Abraham: The young man actually didn't leave yet. I noticed that he went straight towards the history section, towards the far end of the store.
Toni (smiling): Thanks Abe and Dorothy.
Dorothy: No problem Toni.
Toni headed towards the back of the bookstore. She was wondering how Mickey found out about this bookstore and bought her books. Toni noticed someone sitting next to her books, whoever they were, was tying their shoes.
Toni: Mikey, how did you know that I ordered these books?
Babyface fixed his shoes and looked up.
Babyface: Mickey didn't, but I did.
Toni: Ken! (Hugging him) You're in town. When did you get back?!
Babyface (laughing): I got back last night and wanted to surprise you. You said over the phone you were going to stop here after your last class, so here I am.
Toni: You didn't have to pay for my books.
Babyface: I wanted to. Besides I find Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet fascinating. What two people do for love in this book is bittersweet.
Toni: Yeah, it is. I'm free for the rest of the day.
Babyface: What do you say we grab a bite to eat and walk the beach?
Toni (smiling): That sounds amazing.
Babyface: Let's go.
Babyface grabbed Toni's books in one hand and held her hand in his other hand. They waved goodbye to Abraham and Dorothy.
Dorothy: They look so cute together. Young love is so beautiful.
Abraham: Will ya help me open these boxes Dorry.
Dorothy: I'm coming, I'm coming.
Toni and Babyface grabbed a bite to eat and walked the beach as they were drinking milkshakes. Babyface noticed something along the waters and walked towards it.
