1 : gruvia >> coffee shop au
The teenage girl walked down the snowy sidewalk. Her eyes red and swollen from all the crying. She hid her face behind her scarf and walked in to her favorite coffee shop. No one was here. Her brown ugg boots wet from the snow. She cleaned her feet on the carpet and walked up to the cashier. Strange cause the usual cashier Mirajane wasn't there , but a guy with black jet hair and dark blue eyes was there. 'Gray' his name tag read. "Your strongest coffee please." She spoke in a low voice. "Coming right up." He said in a deep voice. "What's your name?" He asked. "Why?" She asked confused. He chuckled, "So I can write your name on the cup." She suddenly felt super embarrassed and her face turned beet red. "Juvia." She said. He wrote it down on the cup and poured the hot coffee in. "Here you go." He said as he handed her the cup. She grabbed the cup. "Thanks." She whispered and walked away to sit on the table by the window.
He eyed the girl. She had an unusual hair color. For some reason it suited her. There was no one else but her. "I'll be going now , don't forget to close up when your done." His boss Mirajane said. "Oh right , no problem ." He responded. "Goodnight Gray." Mira said as she walked out the door. "Goodnight." He said. He then returned to look at the girl by the window. Gray had to admit , she was really cute. Her blue eyes and hair really caught his attention. When she walked in she looked like she was crying. He wondered what had happened.
Juvia looked out the window. A few hours ago she had gotten through a nasty break up.
(Flashback)
She walked happily to her boyfriend Bora's apartment. It was their 2 month anniversary and honestly she couldn't be happier. She knocked on the door. She frowned , no one answered she decided to open the door. Huh? He left it open , she giggled at how clumsy her boyfriend was. She tiptoed to his room until she stopped in her tracks. Juvia then started hearing moaning. "Oh , go faster Bora.... Uhhhh." A girl moaned. "Your soo hot baby." Bora said breathlessly. Juvia suddenly felt tears start to pool on her eyes. She decided to do something. "What the hell Bora!!" Juvia yelled. The two on the bed then separated. "J-Juvia sweety it's not what it looks like!" He said. "Oh so it doesn't look like my boyfriends cheating on me with another girl on our anniversary! Did you forget!" She yelled while tears spilled out of her eyes. "Please just let me expl-" Bora pleaded but got cut off. "Explain what? You know what I can't believe you were over go fuck her as much as you want I'm leaving!" She yelled running out of his apartment. She heard him yelling her name but she ignored it.
(Flashback over)
A tear slowly ran down her cheek as she remembered what happened a few hours ago. Gray saw the tear and decided to man up and talk to her. She was about to take a sip of her coffee. Then she saw a tissue been placed on the table. She looked up to see the cashier. Now that she took a good look at him he was pretty handsome. "You seem pretty down." He said in a husky voice. She blushed at how deep his voice was. "Yeah I'm having some problems." She said with sudden confidence. "Well wanna talk about it , I mean you don't have to." He said. She looked at him could she trust him. I mean it was just a break up. It wasn't anything serious. "I was cheated on by my ex boyfriend, on our anniversary which is today , I caught him with another girl in bed and that's how I ended up here." She said in a sad voice. He looked at her , he felt really bad. "Well whoever that was just lost someone really amazing." He said. She giggled and that made something in his heart clench. "Thanks , you know you're a pretty interesting guy , what's you're full name.?" She asked. He smirked. "Gray , Gray Fullbuster , what about you pretty lady?" She blushed and smiled. "Juvia , Juvia Lockser." She responded. "Well it's nice to meet you Juvia." Gray said with a smug grin on his face. "Same goes for you Gray." She said. Then they both locked eyes. He was mesmerized by her ocean blue eyes and she was by his dark mysterious blue eyes. Then both realized what they were doing. Both blushed madly. "U-uh I should close up shop." Gray stuttered as he scratched the back of his neck nervously. Juvia played with the hem of her scarf and nervously mumbled. "Y-yeah I should get going to." She said as she stood up and walked towards the door Gray followed behind her. "Thanks for the talk , it made me feel a lot better." Juvia said while smiling up at him , he was really tall. "No problem glad I could help." He smiled down at her , he thought 'she's so cute'. Then something came to his mind , and he suddenly got nervous. "U-um can I ask you a-a question?" He asked nervously. "Yeah , what is it?" Juvia asked. He started blushing , "Can I have your number?" He asked scared to what her response was gonna be. I mean she just got out of a relationship. She smiled sweetly. "Sure , here." She said while Gray took out his phone so she could put her number in. When she was done he put his phone back in his pocket. "Well I'll text you tomorrow , maybe we can hang out." She said in a shy voice. He smiled. "I'd love that." Gray said as he leaned down and placed a sweet , lingering kiss on her cheek. She gasped . He loved how her soft skin felt on his lips. He pulled away smirking. She had already missed the burning sensation on her cheek when he pulled away. Her cheeks were flushed a pretty pink and he honestly thought she looked cute again. Goodnight , Juvia." He whispered huskily. "Goodnight , Gray." She whispered. They didn't even realize they were holding hands. She let go of his hand and walked to her house , her heart hammering in her chest. Gray watched her walk away. He walked back inside the coffee shop and fist bumped the air and yelled "yeahhh!!!" He danced around until he noticed people were watching him from outside weirdly. He stopped and went to the staff room and grabbed his jacket , scarf and the key's from the shop to lock up. Gray wrapped the warm cloth around his neck and walked home.
Today was a great day for both of them.
